I really liked the way this book was organized. I felt that some of the information at the very end was incorrect (i.e. saying that under no circumstances can you eat or drink while in labor when my hospital provides jello and other light snacks to laboring mamas). I also found myself at week 38 of my pregnancy and thinking "Geez, what if I go into labor now and I don't make it through weeks 39-41?" Needless to say I quickly finished the book, throwing the weekly routine to the wind. :) Overall, I felt that this book was really good and would recommend this book over the other standard book (What to Expect When You're Expecting) but feel that reading both is really the way to go.

This is the best pregnancy book that I read! My husband and I enjoyed reading it weekly and seeing the changes that the baby and I were going through. It was great to compare reality to the book and see it match up. I have recommended this book to every expecting mother I have known. I can't wait to read it again for my second child.

This book I found most helpful during my pregnancy. Not only is it full of alot of information it tells you how your baby is developing and changing as the weeks go by. It also shows illustrations of what it looks like, and mentions about what time you have certain test done. It states how to cope with some problems such as sleep. I recommend this book! It is a great guide to a week by week preveiw of your child.

I found this to be the most informative book. It told me more about my developing baby than 'What to Expect When You're Expecting.' 'What to Expect' goes by months, and as any pregnant woman soon finds out, doctors go by weeks. I found it difficult to use 'What to Expect.' A friend told me about 'Your Pregnancy Week by Week,' and I instantly fell in love with it. I really liked the information regarding weight gains at certain points of the pregnancy. The book included lots of good information on things that can go wrong during your pregnancy, offering a quick reference in a need to know situation. I liked it so much I'm ordering a copy for a girlfriend who just found out she's pregnant.

I really enjoyed being able to read about how my baby was developing each week. It was nice to be able to read ahead and have an idea of what to expect in the coming weeks. I would recommend this book and am ordering a copy for my sister-in-law who is just in the thinking about stages of having a baby. It has great information from before pregnancy to birth.

While this book includes good information about the normal physiologic changes of pregnancy, it treats pregnancy as a 'potential' disaster ready to happen. There are extremely rare complications listed along side the typical discomforts of pregnancy which will instill fear in just about anyone. In our culture, trust in pregnancy and birth have veered so far from the belief that a healthy childbearing year is one transition that a woman can expect in her life. Books like this do nothing to empower women to the miracle that is their body as it grows and births a baby. Avoid this book unless you are already categorized as high risk.
