You Know Your a Nebraskan

You Know Your a Nebraskan

by Roger L. Welsch, Paul Fell

Lincoln Journal Star political cartoonist Fell and folklorist Welsch team up to produce a laugh-filled collection of gems: ''You know you're a Nebraskan . . . if your ancestors arrived on the Burlington, not the Mayflower.'' A great gift for any native, displaced Nebraskan, or newcomer.

I wish our "east coast" weathermen (i.e. Omaha) would read this book. It is a great guide to pronouncing Nebraska place-names. "Hyannis" is pronounced "Hi-ANN-is" - despite what you're thinking!!
