This kit is not for beginners. There are errors in the instructions and insufficient yarn to complete one of the two projects. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact the author to report the issues with the directions and incomplete materials.

I do NOT recommend this product it is very disappointing. It is not "perfect for beginning crafters" as stated on box.  Instructions included are insufficient for a beginner to  even get started. The pattern for project number 1 is off, does not deliver as promised, even after multiple re-stichings. Unless you are experienced at crochet, do not buy any of these kits.  I'm sorry for my daughter for whom I got this for x-mas as an introduction to crochet.

This kit is NOT FOR BEGINNERS, I gave it as a present to my little sister, and neither of us could do the animals. She is 12 and I am 22 years old. He love to do crafts, but this was very difficult to do.

This kit ruined Christmas - AVOID unless you want give it to someone you want to feel bad about themselves. It is most definitely not for beginners, the instructions are overwhelming to anyone not familiar, and the "patterns" offer very little visual guidance about what steps to do. Don't ruin Christmas (or any other holidays) for your loved ones like I did. I gave this one star because apparently I can't leave zero, which is what I would have chosen.
