Vince Crawford has been in prison for the last 10 years. He has a “Talent” the Pacifican Army wants to capitalize on. They think he can detect portals to Cascadia or at least know where a portal is. Cascadia is different world for the one we know. Cascadia life is equivalent to our medieval time. No electricity no modern conveniences. The Pacifians bring precious artifacts back to sell on the black market. Vince was taken by the army the night before he was going to bring his pregnant girlfriend, Zara, from Cascadia to Pacifica. They were going to marry and raise their child together. In those 10 years they torture, beat and starve Vince, but he never gives up the portals location. It’s the one thing he can do to protect Zara and their baby. Zara had no idea that the army took him and just thought he changed his mind about their plans. She hated him for those 10 years and when she finds out what really happened she’s horrified at what she thought of him. When her brother Asher comes to see her, his fiancé tells her that Vince is alive. She is Vince’s sister Olivia. Zara want to recuse him right away and not wait any longer. After rescuing Vince, he pulls away from Zara. He feels dark and dirty and damaged. He loves her but feels she and their baby would be better off without him. Zara doesn’t push him and lets him acclimate to his new surroundings. Later he wonders why he isn’t making love to Zara, and let me tell you those scenes were scorching hot! Ummm, Yummm! The story follows Zara and Vince to Cascadia, where they decide to settle. It’s a different take on the paranormal love story and I enjoyed it immensely.  I found I had the first Portal book in my TBR pile on my kindle, so I am reading that now. Then I’ll read Asher’s and Olivia’s story. A copy of this book was given to me by the author for an honest review.

This is part three of the series and less of a standalone than the first two, but still a good story of the main characters. It ties in the previous story lines nicely, whilst providing plenty of twists and turns, action and adventure. A great read. Copy received in exchange for an honest review.

Iron Portal series winner!! ** I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review** This is the first book in the Iron Portal series that I have read – but I have read other books by this author. I really enjoyed the world building for this series. I am going to have to go back and buy the previous books in this series! Two very different worlds are accessible via hidden portals and the societies in each world have bad opinions of the alternate world. In this book, two teenagers discover each other via the portal and fall in love. The hero is imprisoned because of his “talent” – leaving his pregnant girlfriend to wonder why he deserted her and their son. Fast forward 10 years – Zara discovers that Vince has been imprisoned and sets out to free him. On the run for their lives, they rediscover their love for each other and overcome the hurdles in their path.

Warrior’s Heart is a great story with interesting characters that you can’t help falling in love with. Vince is a strong alpha man who has lived a rough life in prison due to being captured at a young age because of his talent. He has to struggle with this guilt of not being good enough for Zara and their son after she helps rescue him and they are on the run from the Pacifican army. I look forward to more in this series to hopefully a victorious outcome later on down the series against the Pacifican’s. I also look forward to more Iron Guild stories! If you haven’t read any of the series I’d suggest starting with Assassin’s Touch as it helps build the two worlds involved and explains the conflict, you will not be disappointed! This copy gifted in exchange for an honest review.

I was given this copy in exchange for an honest review. I love all of Laurie London's book, and this book was no exception. I really loved this story about Vince and Zara. After reading the first 2 books i was really excited to read about Vince and Zara and learn their story, and although you do get some back ground i wish it would have delved deeper into how they fell in love. I feel like all the characters are explained in detail very well. I did feel like it was a bit short and would have loved some more. I do feel like their wasnt as much romance in this book compared to the others but the romance it did have was very steamy. I would definately reccomend this book. Good read.

Received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review. I love this series and I love that you don't have to read them in order, they are all stand alone's. Zara and Vince have a painful history and 10 years later she has to bust him out of jail. He finds out he has a son and now someone is threatening his new family. You have to read this book to find out what happens! I highly recommend it!

*Copy Provided for honest review* Just when I thought the iron portal series couldn't get any better Laurie brings in hot, demanding, strong characters. I absolutely love this series and crave to read more. The story really is an easy follow that you could read without the first 2 books, but its much better when you know the other characters and what they have done and been through. I loved the strong will and character of Zara. She made the book. The characters are far from perfect and that's great.... Cant wait to read book 4 ..... I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves to read a hot, steamy, paranormal novel...

This is the first book of this series that I have read but I did not feel lost by starting here. I do want to read the others now and find out about some of the secondary characters in this story that intrigued me. This is a fast paced book with lots of action and romance. Vince and Zara are two remarkable people who have went through lots of hardships before finding each other again. They are both Talents, which is explained in the book. There are lots of charged emotions and plenty of danger to be faced. The book is a fantasy book, but it is not like everything is totally different. For fans of fantasy this is a must read. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Vince met Zara after crossing through a portal as a teen ager. They quickly fell in love, but the day before they were to meet and start their life together Vince was picked up by the army. For 10 years he's been imprisoned. His captors have tried, but they cannot break him. He will always fight to protect the woman he left behind. Zara didn't know what happened to Vince and for 10 years she's been felt angry and betrayed, yet she hasn't stopped loving him. Until the day she discovers he's alive and a prisoner, Then nothing will stop her from rescuing him. Vince in the perfect tortured alpha hero and Zara his perfect mate. I loved the way Zara was able to break through Vince's insecurities and build him back up to the man she remembers him to be. I hadn't yet read the prior Iron Portal stories, but I'll be reading them now. Can't wait to continue the journey in Cascadia. I was gifted a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A Very Good Book Paranormal Romance Zara Kane leads a double life. During the day she works at the library and is a respected antiquities expert. At night though she is a thief that steals the artifacts that belong to her homeland. Years ago she was abandoned by the man she once loved when she needed him the most though when she finds out he has been wrongly imprisoned, she uses her para-ability Talent to orchestrate a daring escape. Vince Crawford has suffered years of suffering and torture and is now a damaged man. The beautiful boy with the sparking brown eyes he used to be is now gone and in his place is now a jaded ex-con that is hell-bent on revenge. He is not afraid of anything. Though when a ruthless enemy who knows his greatest weakness threatens the woman he never stopped loving and the son he never knew he had he will stop at nothing to keep them safe. Even if the cost is his life. This is an amazing book that is part of a series. It holds up very well on its own as a standalone but it will have readers eagerly looking for the other books in the series to read more about a world that proves to be engrossing and different. It has a lot of action and takes some great twists and turns and keeps the reader hanging until the very end on if everything will work out for the characters. The story will also having readers wanting to read the next book in the series. Received a review copy

Gifted in an exchange for an honest review Laurie London's Iron Portal Series #3 is Warrior's Heart.  Yes third time is a charm; my favorite in the series.  Zara Kane and her son  Darias have lived a life together for ten years.  She was abandoned by her teen love Vince Crawford just when she needed him the  most.  Bitter that he would do this;  her heart changes when she find out the circumstances of his disappearance.   Vince had been kidnapped from his home ten years prior because he was a "Talent". The army hoards those with these gifts to use against the world of Cascadia. Vince knowing that Zara is in Cascadia refuses to  cooperate and is thus been a prisoner all this time. Well Zara has a "Talent" of her own and with the help of couples from the previous Iron Portal series she sets to free Vince.  Great story - no cliffhangers - Could be read as a stand alone but I would not do that.
