"Walking Jack" is a well written and interesting insight into the lives of a contemporary American couple. The main character's walking his dog, "Jack" leads to many unusual and unexpected situations involving both recognizable and unfamiliar characters. "Jack" represents the thread that ties together his foray outside of a mundane life into a series of unexpected personal and social experiences. The author brings these alive in a believable but unanticipated manner. "Walking Jack" is a relaxing and fun read!
The title is subdued for the excitment that is packed into this book with a seeminly tame cover. A great read.
