To the anonymous poster from June 17, what on earth does your post have to do with an actual review of this book? This book, the CONTENT of which should be the subject  of your review, is one of the most wonderful astronomy books on the market today. Not only does it cover chemistry and physics as well, it's possibly the most packed-with-information book short of an actual astronomy textbook. Infinitely detailed and well written, and beautiful beyond measure photographs.

Extremely comprehensive and well written. Very easy to understand all explanations about numerous aspects of the universe. Up-to-date topics such as dark matter, dark energy, and string theory are included. Somewhat difficult to understand topics such as Einstein's general and specific relativity are discussed and presented in a format that is easily understood. Each page has numerous photographs and drawings to help the reader understand the subject matter. Very extensive glossary and index.

I ordered this book from Barnes & Noble on May 22, 2013. I received it damaged and returned it for another. I received the 2nd one damaged as well. I sent the 2nd one back for another one. I received the 3rd one damaged as well. I asked customer service each time to have the warehouse secure the book and wrap in bubble wrap to help protect it. Not once did they secure the book or wrap it in any kind of protection. Each time it came damaged. I just received the 4th one this morning and once again it was not wrapped or secured and was damaged. If you are a collector or like your books in mint condition, I suggest going somewhere else. They completely ignored my request time and time again.
