Overview

New York Times bestselling author Brenda Novak returns to Silver Springs, where no past mistake is so big the heart can’t find a way to fix it.

Jada Brooks couldn’t have known how her life would change when she fell for bad boy Maddox Richardson back in high school. She couldn’t have known his troubled brother would leave hers forever crippled. Or that she’d be forced to shun Maddox completely—only to discover she was carrying his child.

Although Maddox was devastated by the events that transpired that fateful night, losing Jada was the worst of it. He’s back in Silver Springs, ready to make amends and provide the kind of youth outreach that once saved him. If he’d known Jada was in town, too, he would never have come.

Jada has returned to Silver Springs to be with family after her father’s death. But when she sees Maddox, every tough decision she’s made concerning their now twelve-year-old daughter begins to haunt her. Falling for him again is so tempting, but not only does she stand to alienate her family—if he finds out about Maya, she could lose what matters most.

This book was too long and slow; really dragged for me. Usually I hate to be interrupted while reading Novak, but I welcomed a break reading this one. I got tired of reading about the various characters' hang-ups over and over. I just can't recommend this book. There are many more worthy of your time.

This is the 5th in the Silver Springs series and Brenda Novak continues to write terrific stories that keep you interested until the very end. This was a wonderful story about forgiveness, love and starting over. This story of Jada and Maddox and their families was so hard to put down. I really enjoy Silver Springs and its people. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

Brenda Novak has once again created a wonderful tale of second chance romance. Her talent for character development is amazing. I was privileged to return to Silver Springs for this fifth book in the series. After the death of her father, Jada Brooks returned to Silver Springs with her daughter, Maya, to help her mother whose health is failing. Atticus, her brother, is confined to a wheelchair after being tragically shot when he was only eleven years old. Jada feels responsible for his being at the party where the tragedy occurred. Maddox Richardson is the principal of the new girls’ school at New Horizons. Jada and Maddox have a past history that is very complicated. Needless to say, things get interesting when Jada and Maddox discover that they are both once again living in the town where they fell in love as teenagers. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it and the entire series to anyone who likes second chance, small town romances. I received a copy of Unforgettable You from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Silver Springs is such a special town and it is shown once again in Unforgettable You. The strength of love, family and friends comes through strongly along with a second chance at love. This book might be my favorite in this series.

Fantastic book! Can you get back a relationship you left many years ago? According to Brenda Novak's Unforgettable You you can. It's great when love wins in the end. Enjoy!

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the story of Maddox, Jada, Atticus and Tobias and how and stupid mistake back when they were young changed each of their lives. Maddox and Jada were high school sweethearts, and because of an accident between their brothers the split apart, before Jada knew she was pregnant. They both wind up back in Silver Springs 13 years later and face their own challenges, Maddox showing up in a town that blames him for his brothers mistake and Jada trying to keep the secret that Maddox has a daughter. This is a journey of love, forgiveness, second chances and of new beginnings. This is part of the Silver Springs series, but I'd not read any of the others, and didn't feel lost at all. I highly recommend this book and this author! I will be reading more of the Silver Springs series..

I really liked this novel. I found myself feeling deeply for Jada and for her tumultuous relationship with her unforgiving, accusing mother and Jada’s desire to reunite with her lost love, Maddox. The pull on Jada to do what’s right for herself, for her daughter and for her relationship with her mother is well written, conveying Jada’s deep angst and doubts. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It isn't a 'light' romance novel, however, it is worth the read!! I hadn't realized it was the 5th book in the Silver Springs series, however, it was not a problem reading it as a stand alone. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to go back and read the first 4 books! The main female character in this book is Jada. After a divorce Jada and her daughter, Maya, move back home to help her mother and brother out. This story is about how Jada deals with the past, present, and future. It is a story of love lost and found. It also deals with forgiveness and healing from past mistakes. The author does a great job drawing you into the story and making it so you are able to experience the emotions of all of the characters involved in the story. The story was well written and drew me in from the first page. I look forward to reading the next story in this series (about one of the characters from this book). Overall, I highly recommend this book and I was very happy with the outcome of the story...even though it took awhile to get where I was hoping it would. Thank you to Harlequin-MIRA and Netgalley for this eARC.

I loved going back to Silver Springs to read the story of Jada and Maddox! In this small town, second chance love story, Maddox returns to Silver Springs to help run the New Horizons girls school…however, Jada also just returned home with their 13 year old daughter, Maya, a daughter Maddox never knew he had. Maddox was involved with Jada’s brother, Atticus, being shot and put in a wheelchair almost 14 years ago. It wasn’t Maddox who pulled the trigger, but it was his brother, Tobias, and he is about to be released from prison. The story comes full circle in this 5th book in the Silver Springs series. I have loved all the characters in this series by the wonderful author, Brenda Novak. This story was wonderful! It had all the feels…I had tears, felt love and heartbreak…just perfect! I am looking forward to the next book featuring Tobias!

Unforgettable You – Brenda Novak I was fortunate to receive this book as an Advance Reader Copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an objective review. Jada Brooks & Maddox Richardson were a sweet teen-aged couple, when the events of a weekend party shattered their lives and separated them forever. Unbeknownst to either of them at the time, Jada was pregnant. Now, 13 years later, Jada and 12-year-old Maya have returned home to Silver Springs, California after a divorce, and the death of her father. Home primarily to assist her mother with running the family business, and to help with her handicapped brother Atticus, Jada was assured that Maddox was no longer in town. But at a farmer’s market one weekend, she spots Maddox in the crowd… Maddox Richardson lost the love of his life, and his brother Tobias to prison on that fateful night so long ago. Now 13 years later, he has returned home to Silver Springs after accepting a position as principal to a school for troubled youths. Not wanting to cause further heartbreak to the girl he once loved, he returned with the understanding that Jada was married and living elsewhere. But at that same farmers market – he spots Jada… As both Maddox & Jada struggle with old feelings, and attempt to stay out of each other’s way, Maya is searching for information on her father, who was reportedly deceased in an accident before she was born. The spitting image of her father, Jada fears it’s only a matter of time before Maddox learns the truth. Can Maddox and Jada leave the past behind, and find their way back to one another?? I just love every word that Brenda Novak writes, and cannot get enough of her! Whether it’s the darker Talbot series, or a sweet read such as this, I’ve never read a Novak novel that I didn’t adore! Read this in a day because I just couldn’t put it down! And I LOVED the reference to Dr. Talbot! Bonus is, there’ll be more to come in Silver Springs, CA! I already cannot wait for the next book!!

Accidents happen. There are consequences from actions. It’s how you deal with both of them that matters. Jada and Maddox. Atticus and Tobias. One choice and one unfortunate action, begat a whole series of consequences that followed all four of them, culminating in them all being back together in their small town. Jada loved Maddox and wanted to be with him whenever she could. She also had a younger brother, Atticus, who she was responsible for when her parents were out. What harm could come from going to a party? Maddox was there. It should be OK, except, those darn old accidents. Atticus is injured and four lives are forever changed. Jada is forced to make a decision and leaves town. Maddox is forced out of town. Atticus has to deal with his disability. Tobias has to face his punishment. Fast forward to the present when circumstances bring both Jada and Maddox back to town. Is the love they shared as teens still there? Can Maddox forgive Jada for leaving with no word? How is Atticus? Can Tobias make amends for his actions as a teenager? This review makes ‘Unforgettable You’ sound like a really crazy sad book. It’s not. What it does do is look at how each person deals with actions from a decade earlier and makes their peace with what they did then and how they deal with everything now. This is part of the Silver Springs series by Brenda Novak. Although it is part of a series, it is absolutely a stand-alone read.

Once again we are taken back to Silver Springs and meet Maddox Richardson another New Horizons School success story. Years ago after a party ended in violence due to his brother, Maddox left town with out knowing the love of his life was expecting a child. Maddox and Jada Brooks find themselves both in Silver Springs again. He as the new principal of the New Horizons School for Girls and Jada to help her mother after her father’s death. Brenda Novak has again given the reader a cast of deeply developed characters and an intricate plot.

The fifth book in the Silver Springs series, Unforgettable You could stand alone. Brenda Novak's characters will have to wade through some rough waters on their way to forgiveness. They are real people who've had some tough breaks in life - putting it mildly. For years Maddox has shouldered the responsibility of one horrible night that changed the lives of his girl friend and her younger brother. His own brother went to prison for his actions that night and, thirteen years later, is dealing with being outside of prison and finding his place in the world. Jada, Maddox's girlfriend, moved on with her life after that night. Her parents made sure she'd never see Maddox again, at least that's what they hoped. Fate has other ideas and everyone ends up back in Silver Springs. Secrets will be revealed and relationships are up in the air but the possibilities are endless when characters open themselves to forgiveness. I look forward to the next book in the series!

SILVER SPRINGS has been a strong series but TBH I was a bit worried when I started UNFORGETTABLE YOU because I found it hard to agree with some things that Jada did both in the past and present. But true to the series, it’s all about redemption. Not to take anything away from Jada and Maddox’s story but the whole time I was reading about Tobias, I was wishing he’d get his own book. I was very happy to read the note from the author at the end confirming my hopes. I can’t wait for CHRISTMAS IN SILVER SPRINGS!

Brenda Novak is a must-buy author for me. UNFORGETTABLE YOU, Book 5 in her Silver Springs series, is an excellent example why. Novak writes such well-crafted stories that slowly pull you in. Jada and Maddox are star-crossed lovers. They loved deeply in high school, but Maddox was from the wrong side of the tracks, and Jada’s parents didn’t approve. When tragedy strikes one fateful night, they are ripped apart. Now, both are back in Silver Springs knowing full well neither would have returned if they’d had prior knowledge the other had also returned. Getting to the heart of this story is like peeling an onion. While introducing her two main characters, Novak weaves in details of the tragedy that separated them, taking her time to introduce the full picture. If you like character-driven stories that will pull every emotion out of you, then you should jump right in to UNFORGETTABLE YOU.

A thought-provoking second-chance romance with a cast of characters that will have you rooting for a happy ending for all of them, Brenda Novak’s Unforgettable You is the fifth book in her Silver Springs series. Jada and Maddox have a tragic history steeped in guilt. When a poor decision by two teenagers in love led to a horrible accident, the consequences were far-reaching. Twelve years later, Maddox and Jada are back in Silver Springs and it doesn’t take them long to cross paths, and realize their feelings are still as prevalent as they were when they were separated. There is resistance, secrets, and family conflict, but can love win? Novak continues to populate the small town of Silver Springs with characters that fully realized and add depth to the story and the town. I enjoyed my return visit to Silver Springs, and can’t wait to see who Novak decides to focus on next. This is part of a series, but can easily stand alone. Just realize, if it is your first visit to Silver Springs, it won’t be your last. Be prepared to binge on the rest of the series. #UnforgettableYou #lLoveWins #Mira @BrendaNovakAuthor

Realistic small town situations and complex characters' emotions are Brenda's trademark and she hit the bullseye again. It may have been a while since we visited but she involves you immediately in what has and is happening in this small town and I love that. If you want contemporary love stories with depth, Brenda's small town series are for you and if want twisted romantic suspense then Brenda is the author for you as well. All of her writing has depth, complexity, and emotional connection. Waiting impatiently for her next book which ever genre it is.

5 Stars ... this story will break your heart! When Jada and Maddox were teenagers they were madly in love, but that all came to an abrupt end one fateful night. Thirteen years later, Jada is back home in Silver Springs with her daughter to help her mother and crippled brother after the death of her father. She never dreamed she'd run into Maddox again ... let alone in Silver Springs. For the past 13 years Maddox has regretted taking Jada and her brother Atticus to that party because it not only forever changed his life, but also the lives of those he loved. Now he's back in Silver Springs to help the only woman who believed in him back then - Aiyana, the owner of New Horizons. The only reason he agreed to come was when Aiyana assured him that Jada still lived in LA ... so when he sees her in town, he's second guessing this move. But Jada and Maddox still burn for each other and it doesn't take long for them to realize that. This book put me through an emotional wringer ... actually most of Ms. Novak's books do. I laughed, cried and got mad ... and these characters won't leave my head for quite some time. Not only did I love Jada and Maddox, there was Maya (their daughter), Atticus (Jada's brother) and Tobias (Maddox's brother). But Jada's mom ... well I just wanted to give her a swift kick and say "they were kids and she's your daughter". That's the sign of a good book when you want to throw it across the room. I received an early copy courtesy of Harlequin - Mira through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Brenda Novak has written another great love story set in Silver Springs. It's been a long long time coming but Maddox and Jada finally manage to get together and deal with all the problems that split them apart thirteen years ago.

The Silver Springs series by Brenda Novak has been enjoyable and the latest book in the series was no exception. Ms Novak always manages to capture the essence of her characters and the setting perfectly. You understand the actions and feelings of everyone involved. She transports you on location and engulfs you in the story. I empathized with Jada's mother for all she had lost. Her son is in a wheelchair, and her daughter and granddaughter moved away from her all because of an accidental shooting at a party they attended when teenagers. Jada and Maddox have paid dearly for the incident at the party 13 years ago and they have a chance for a do-0ver. Maddox's mother has her own feelings of guilt dealing with her addictions. This is a coming of age story for all characters: Jada and Maddox, their daughter Maya, along with Atticus, and Tobias. Revenge and redemption are powerful emotions that this story deals with accurately. Both mother's have had to deal with the ramifications of that night and the fateful party which altered all their lives. As usual Ms Novak excelled and I would recommend this to all readers. It can be read as a standalone story, although part of a series. I was provided a free ARC eBook from the Publisher Harlequin and Net Galley in exchange for my honest comments.

I always enjoy reading a Brenda Novak book. She creates her characters so realistically that I feel like I know them and want to live in their towns. I would visit all their popular places and hang out with these people. This book centers on Jada and Maddox, who were high school sweethearts, and it's set in Silver Springs, a small town in California where there is a school for troubled boys, New Horizons. Maddox has just been offered the job as Principal of the newly formed girls section of the school. Jada has just decided to divorce her husband and move back to Silver Springs to help care for her mother and brother after her father died. They haven't been in touch since a terrible tragedy happened while they were still in high school. There's lots of issues keeping these two apart, but they still care for each other after all this time and are trying to figure out a way to have a future together. There is lots of drama and unexpected events keeping them apart, but this is a good reminder to never give up on your dreams. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series which will focus on Tobias, Maddox's younger brother, who was a prominent role in this story.
