Overview

Let the web unravel itself and try not to die in the process.

After losing her mother in a freak accident, Suede Harris is trying to pick up the pieces and move on with her life. With a history of trouble, including bad relationships, alcohol, and ditching college, finishing up her criminology degree seemed like the best way to start.

While catching up back home with summer courses, she joins a study group to keep on track, but when her friends convince her to go geocaching, a simple trip will shake up her entire world. When the only treasure they find is a human bone, it will send her on a mission fueled by personal trauma to figure out what happened to the victim.

Will she find the killer, or uncover secrets that have been long buried?

Author Note: This is book 1 of a 6 book murder mystery series. The books cannot standalone, so please be warned that you'd need to read all 6 to get the full story. Each book will release the last Thurs of the month! The town in the story is fictional, so the coordinates on the cover do NOT correlate to the murder locations. Hope you love the story.

A rather enjoyable read, however, if you want an ending you will have to purchase the next two books! I Hate books like this! Just put it all in one story and charge me $8

The scene is set. Another twister by the WL Knightly team. This starts a mystery that will take 6 books to cover—all ending on a cliffhanger and all laying out clues for you to spot. I expect it will be like their other series—once you’re sure you know what’s going on—there will be a twist you don’t see coming. Edge of your seat excitement, tons of things going on that don’t seem related. We’re in for another adventure. Eagerly awaiting book 2. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

This book is the beginning of a new thriller/mystery series by this author. I have read other series by this author and found them to pack a punch from the start. This book sets up differently with a slower build up that allows the reader to really get to know some of the key players backgrounds and gives a hint into some of the relationships and connections. This small town story starts out with Suede and Riley starting a second chance in their respective lives after a huge joint event cost them both. Suede and Riley join a study group with friends who also have skeletons in their pasts. Once the group stumbles upon some bones while geocaching, the story heats up. Great start to this series which begins with thriller/mystery/romance. It's all right here and I'm ready to find out more.

This is the second series I've read by WL Knightly and once again, I was drawn into this story from the start. I liked how the start is laid out so far and the characters we're meeting. The character development is on-going, obviously not something we're going to learn about everyone right from the start, and there's also a hint of romance, but the mystery and suspense is what really had me hooked.

Well then! Complex, dark sensual with hints of humor - the first book in a series of 6 I had a feeling from the first few pages that something unusual, evil and wickedly intoxicating would suck me into its web of secrets and keep me wanting more. I was right! WL Knightly has laid out a compelling and plot twisted engaging murder mystery storyline that has me searching for clues right along with each well defined standout character! Fast-paced, updated and packs a punch, I cannot wait to see where this story goes from here! I read and requested an advanced readers copy of this book, any views posted are my own and are not coerced from author/publisher.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in a new series by WL. In this book, Suede Harris a young woman who is returning to college to study criminology. Suede's mother died and her mother's boyfriend Ted is a detective. Suede is starting an internship where she will work with Ted. Suede also joins a study group with her friend Graham and she is going to research a local crime as her project. Graham asks everyone in the group to go geocaching and the first week, Suede can't go, but Riley and Jess go with him. The next week Suede goes and they find human bones. Suede has found the crime for her project and she wants to investigate it. Riley is the town's bad boy who lives with his older brother on their blueberry farm. Riley and Suede have had problems in the past and are both trying to start over. This first book has be intrigued and curious as to who the killer could be. I have a couple of ideas and am looking forward to reading more to see if i am right. I love a good mystery and i think this one will be full of twist and turns like i expect from WL. Great start!

This is what I imagine a summer camp run by Temperance Brennan would look like: deceptions, double-crosses, and lots of dead bodies. When this book started, I wasn’t entirely sure what I had gotten myself into, but I was quickly pulled into the story. To the point I couldn’t put it down; so desperate was my need to know what happened next. There are so many layers of things going on in this book that it was easy to get caught up in the mystery of it all. I’m happily baffled as to what are genuine clues and which are tricky little red herrings. It seems this sleepy little town has a lot more secrets than it lets on, and I’m dying to know more. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

This author did not disappoint with the Hangman Series, and I was so excited to read this first book in what promises to be another fabulous series. Suede and Riley are very likable protagonists, and I look forward to seeing how their story unfolds in the next five books of the series. This book makes for a quick, page-turning read, and by the end, you are left anticipating where the mystery and story will lead. Can’t wait for Book 2! I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of this novel for giving my honest review.

Great start of the new series by my favorite duo! When group of study friends go geocaching and find buried bones, was it just a coincidence or is there more to it? I really liked the small town setup which seems to hide lots of secrets. All introduced characters are complex and intriguing. I can’t wait to find out more about them and the secrets they are hiding! I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I look forward to holding on to my seat for the ride. Suede and Riley, criminology students with tragic pasts, take part in a geocaching hunt with two other members of their study group and find more than they bargained for. As the story progresses their histories come out to haunt them, they try to make sense of life in general, and the mysteries get deeper. W.L. Knightly’s latest series starts out strong in Tracking the Treasure. With a varied cast and deepening mysteries there is plenty of time and space for the undoubtedly twisted journey that the reader will be taken on to unfold. I look forward to holding on to my seat for the ride. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
