After the sticker shock wore off, I purchased this robot in a B&N store for my sons birthday. He is a fan of Wall-E, and I thought it would be cool to have his own Wall-E robot to play with. After fumbling around with this product for a few days, I can say that this was such a rip off, and barely functional, that I feel like I should warn any would be buyers of what they might be in for. 1. The robot is essentially legos. It comes with three bags of tiny pieces of plastic that you need to put together and attach to a control pad. The legos aren't even split up by body part, so enjoy sorting through a bunch of pieces to find what fits what. 2. There are no instructions! After fumbling around we were able to figure it out--but how did they not think to put basic instructions in the box? 3. The app that you use to build and then control the robot doesn't work! Its filled with glitches and crashes every single time we use it. Imagine trying to control the robot and then the app crashes, only to restart and repeat again and again. Makes the entire thing useless. 4. The robot is used by completing "levels" on the app. It is anything but user friendly. It took more fumbling around to figure out what we were doing because again, no instructions on how this game works. (Which we found out works by tapping a picture of the robot, watching what the robot does, and mimicking those commands) 5. When you get to the level where you can make the robot talk, its voice comes from the app. It doesn't come from the actual robot. Overall a total disappointment. I thought I was getting a robot for my son but bought three bags of legos and a broken app for $150.00.
