Who's safe when there are cannibals hiding among you? That's the question at the heart of this fast-paced game of social deduction in which cannibals and pioneers face off in a fight for survival. Set in the winter of 1846, players are members of the ill-fated Donner Party wagon train, stranded atop a mountain with no food. Who will avoid becoming tonight's dinner and make it off the mountain alive? And who are the suspicious scoundrels hungry for human flesh? Rowdy, outrageous, and full of playful deception, this party game packs a delightfully wicked twist!

Great game! Fun version of social deduction. The supply cards make for some really interesting gameplay. And the cards and board art are beautiful. Highly recommend this for a group of friends who want a game that will get everyone engaged and talking.

While this starts with elements of social deduction games like WAREWOLF, it’s less arbitrary: the hunting portion of the game, where players must contribute cards to a common food pile, makes it a way better game. Instead of just accusations drawn from the air, there is now actual material to discuss and react to while trying to deduce who is who. The Supply cards add some fun angles as well (particularly the Rifle and the Axe). Do try the Ol' Tasty card, which gives the game a hilarious tension. Beautiful art that is evocative of the subject matter. Despite the grim historical event that inspired it, it’s been a giddy game whenever I’ve played it!

Great social deduction game a la werewolf, but you get to eat people! Some innovative twists along the way too. This is great for groups of 6-12. I laughed until I got eaten.
