7 Hardcovers Made of Up 15 Volumes Made up of 80+ comics and this story still has yet to reach a "Dead End". Characters are interesting, even if some of them are short lived. Mood and feel of the story is very eerie and close to home if this ever really occurred in my opinion.

Zombies and more zombies. It makes me realize how poorly the television series captured these graphic novels.

Rick and his little band adapt to the gated community they have lucked upon, but we soon see again that humanity is capable of more depredation than the walking dead they have walled themselves away from. Still, Rick seems to be establishing himself as the de facto leader of the community, when disaster strikes, with devastating consequences for the community, and Rick's son Carl. A gripping installment in one of the best open-ended graphic novels I have seen, and now there is the nearly as fine AMC TV series by the same name to enjoy. The vampire and zombie stories are way over-abundant these days, but this looks like the best of the bunch.

I thought I would be hittin' Season 6 of the TV series once I start Book 7, but I was wrong. However, I can't believe it! I actually lucked upon a book that I actually like! I didn't think that was possible! There was no way that the books can be rated as better than the TV series! (Well, it can't) Action packed! People "gettin' busy": Rick and Jessie; Michonne and Morgan; Glenn and Maggie; Abraham and Rosita; Heath and Denise; Aaron and Eric; Spencer and Andrea! XXX Rated! Nevertheless, we lost a lot of good people: Regina, Scott, Ron, Tobin, Pete, Jessie, Bruce, Buttons the horse. We begin with the breach in security at the construction site, but Abraham's guys duke them out--taking Tobin's status as "leader" at the construction site. Then Rick calls himself saving Jessie and Ron from Pete by throwing Pete out in the street! Then some unknown possie of pirates think they're gonna force Rick to open the gates so they can get in and takeover the town of Alexandria. Ha Ha! They had another thing comming! I actually laughed out loud! Some crazy old lady stabs Eric in the torso while he is out doing his "screening"--but he lived to tell about it. Wait a minute! The book doesn't end until you reach the battle of the walkers who breached the security gate! That, Walking Dead fans, is the majority of Book 7! I am assuming this will happen in Season 6 of the TV series. All the gunfire from killing the derelects at the gate attracted the walkers. It's all Douglas' fault. He takes Regina's murder really hard. He is also down and out by the fact that Rick seems to be a better "leader" than he is. Comming back from a supply run, their backs are up against the wall--and in come the Walkers! They shut the gate, but more Walkers are waiting right outside the gate! And then, the panels in the walls give way! Carl is hurt really bad, he might not survive. The End.
