Star of A&E's Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson exposes the ten lies the devil has used to destroy America's soul and offers ten counter-truths to put God back into culture and turn the country around.
In April of 1966, Time magazine raised a ruckus when the cover of the magazine featured in red block-letters a now-infamous question: "Is God Dead?" It marked a turning point for the country, revealing the cultural acceptability of questioning whether God was active and alive in our world. Circumstances have not improved. In his new book,Phil Robertson exposes the 10 essential deceptions and schemes the devil has used in an attempt to steal, kill, and destroy America's soul. With personal narrative and folksy wisdom, Phil shares the ten counter-truths that, if believed and acted on, would put God back into the culture and might just turn our country around. His most prophetic work to date, the new book is deeply rooted in Phil's desire that all might come into the life-giving, peace-filling, wholly-transforming experience of God's great love.

You can't go wrong with this book. Straight talk and good advice. How can you go wrong following The Ten Commandments? Have you read the Commandments lately? Thank you Phil & Seth. I can't wait for the next book!
If I read a book in two days, it's a good book. I read this in less than two days. In this writing, Phil Robertson reminds of the lies of Satan we have believed and the truth God says that contradict these lies. Using ten points, just as there are ten commandments, Robertson addresses the biggest lies we as a country have believed. Starting with the lie that God is dead and working through the lie Christians should be quiet and stop speaking the word of God that is "offensive." I have been challenged in this book to examine what lies I have believed personally. Have I given in to the lies of the world and not trusted the truth of God's word? If you don't want to be challenged to examine your Christian walk, then don't read this book. But if you want to live more like Jesus has commanded, then take this book to heart. It is full of scriptural references. The thoughts expressed are not simply those of the author. They are the thoughts and commandments of Jesus. This is also for those who are seeking truth. If you are struggling in areas of your life and want to know how to be free, this is also a great selection for you. Second to the Bible, of course. I would love to hear your thoughts on this book also! Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. Millions of people around the world have heard of or watched the famous reality TV show, Duck Dynasty. Now, in The Theft of America's Soul, the father of them all, Phil Robertson, shares his story as well as the lies that are destroying our country and the truths that will set it free. As a young adult Robertson shares the many mistakes he made; from making his wife leave, to drugs, and depression. After hitting rock bottom and almost losing his wife to divorce, Phil Robertson gave his life to Jesus Christ who completely turned his life around. After coming to this realization, Robertson started traveling the United States, inspiring people of all ages before also helping birth the TV show Duck Dynasty. Told with wit and humor and from the lips of a true hillbilly, The Theft of America's Soul gives a unique look on how to get America back on track. I have never watched the show Duck Dynasty, yet I have seen their faces and branding all over the place. On books, hunting equipment, duck calls, shirts, and other merchandise; the people behind the show have definitely made an impact. I think it is so cool that the Robertson family have taken a stand against Gay marriage and abortion, and never backed down. Phil Robertson's book was a true show of his firm stand in his Christian faith. America needs more people like him--who will stand up for what they believe.
Phil Robertson has never been known to mince words or beat around the bush. If you are looking for that you need to look somewhere else. What you will get is Phil's unvarnished story of his life before and after he came to know Jesus Christ and you will see a significant difference. He shares many stories you have probably never heard. Two that were highlights for me were Big Al in chapter 2 and later what he told Donald Trump during his campaign and the Presidential Candidate's response. It might surprise you. I listened to the book and am now reading it to reinforce what I heard. I think you will enjoy spending a few hours with the Duck Commander too.
