About the Author

A misplaced northerner from a wee town in Pennsylvania, Krista now lives in Savannah, GA with a husband, a roommate, a cat, a fish, two dogs and an innumberable amount of palmetto bugs, lizards and spiders. The latter of which like to come out to say hello when nobody else is home but our intrepid author.

Storytelling has been part of her life for as long as she can remember, but it wasn't until one certain story just needed to be told that she began entertaining the notion of writing it all down. Inspired by the music of Midnight Syndicate, Krista's first novelette, Blackest Rose, was born. She entered it into a respected contest for aspiring authors, and after an agonizing wait that spanned months longer than what is normal for the contest because of understandable, but nerve shredding delays...she lost. Not even an honorable mention. However, her red headed atittude came to the fore, and with a hearty eff yew she had no idea what she was going to do, but by darn she was going to do it!

What finally set her on the path to the creation of The William's Hunt series was surgery for two herniated discs in her neck. With nothing better to do than to zone out on Netflix, her mind began to work within another genre she had come to incorporate into her life: Steampunk. The seeds of Captain Alex, Laurence Kane and The William's Hunt were born!

If asked, Krista would say that this is the first project she has ever started AND finished! The reality is that The William's Hunt is a serial. So that poses the question: Is it really "finished"? But with a galley of support from family, some very talented friends, and the unshakable faith from Pete, the mini-weiner dog that she might look away from her laptop for a moment to throw the tennis ball (because that helps stimulate the creative process, right?), it might be more correct to say that the project is an ongoing success.
