About the Author

Margaret A. Jones (neé FitzPatrick) attended Holy Family Catholic School for 6 years, Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School for 1 year, Philadelphia High School for Girls, and the University of Pennsylvania. She studied 4 years of Latin at Girls High and changed from a Math major to Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation from college, she taught 3rd grade in a Catholic parochial school in Santa Rosa, NM, where she met and married her husband. For the past 19 years they have lived in Front Royal, VA, raising their 6 children and helping to raise their 6 grandchildren. During this time, the author has tutored children of various ages as well as adults, first in classical Latin, and then in Ecclesial Latin, writing The Liturgical Legacy of the Church: Introduction to Ecclesial Latin to meet that need. She is extremely grateful to God for all the people He has placed in her life along the way to make the completion of The Liturgical Legacy of the Church: Introduction to Ecclesial Latin a reality.
