In the wide-awake bed in the full-moon house, everyone is restless! The moonlight is pouring in and no one can get to sleep: not Granny, her grandchild, the dog, the cat, or even a mouse. It's not until a tiny musical visitor offers up a soothing song does the menagerie settle down, and finally everyone is off to dreamland. With a perfectly crafted text and stunning paintings, Audrey and Don Wood reveal once again why they are picture book creators of the highest order. The Full Moon at the Napping House, the highly anticipated follow-up to their beloved classic The Napping House, is the ideal book to share at bedtime or anytime.

I really loved The Napping House, it is one of my favorite reads for children's stories. I have a couple of their signed posters of this first book and so when I saw this sequel, I had to read it. Perhaps I love them because everything is contained in the bedroom ( a room so cozy), everything is sequential in the novel and the illustrations are dreamy and simple. I love many other works by these authors especially The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear and King Bidgood's in the Bathtub. Inside this book, we have the same characters from the first novel only now they can't go to sleep. They are worried, playful, fidgety, wide-awake and a few other adjectives. The full moon is rising and granny looks tired but sleep is not coming at least not now. It takes a special visitor for sleep to come to the full-moon house and when he does, everyone settles down. What a wonderful addition!
