Terrific read. Tell me you just can't handle multiple plot lines and a plethora of fun unique characters and I may forgive that review.

The plot was fine, the characters where well built, but that's about it. The author changes points of view between the characters every few paragraphs which leaves the reader in a constant state of confusion over who is saying and thinking what. It leads to a very disjointed feeling and makes it hard to get into any one character. She is also in need of a good editor. There is way to much extra detail that really makes the story drag. I ended up only reading the first couple of chapters before I stopped due to point of view whiplash. Such a waste of what is the bones of a very good book.

It was a fun quick read for those who are following the Dragon Blood series. I really missed the characters after I finished the last book so I felt like I was catching up on some old friends. These short stories are not really a stand alone book but rather they need to be read after you finish the series.
