Any parent that has a young girl on the cusps of puberty need a copy of this book! It is so much more than just "the period talk". It helped me have the necessary conversation with my daughter about the changes she is about to go through, but also gives then instructions and ideas of how to take care of their body, like their hair and skin, good food choices and exercises, and how to shop for a bra. I liked it because we could go through it together, then she has a resource that she can refer back to, because the puberty talk is a little overwhelming and a lot of it goes in one ear and out there other. I know for my daughter, she was completely astonished about what we were discussing and I know it all didn't sink in, I could tell her wheels were turning in her head and she was only half listening. So this is a great resource for her to go back to later when she has had some time to digest the conversation we had. Since then, she has read the book on her own and has come to me for clarification on a few subjects. It has been great.
