A fast moving storyline which concerns the wicked deeds of two highwaymen, Jess the Pearly and his son, Inigo Pyke - thwarting attempts by king's man, D'Arcy Ingrams to retrieve a missing pardon document. This precious document is bound for Captain Sir Henry Morgan, by way of a go-between, Ned Teach, better known as, 'Blackbeard the pirate.' The characters are lively and believable, the plot unique and exciting, and the reader is held spell-bound and yearning for more from this dedicated hystorical writer, Miles Hawke.
