Bored with her old book club, Alicia Finlay decides to start a new one—dedicated to her favorite crime writer Agatha Christie. As she gathers seven quirky members together, little does Alicia know they’re about to stumble upon a real-life mystery of their own. When one member suddenly vanishes and her husband shows up murdered soon after, the club decide to do as the meddling Miss Marple would do, and investigate.

So begins the first exciting installment of the Agatha Christie Book Club (ACBC), a motley collection of amateur sleuths who use Christie as their guide to help solve a range of mysteries that fall into their lap. Following in the footsteps of Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, the group must sort the clues from the red herrings to solve the murder of Arthur Parlour and determine what happened to his mysterious missing wife.

First in the series. Set in Australia. A group of avid Christie fans form a book club only to discover themselves in a real life murder mystery. Interesting, very likeable and somewhat quirky characters. If you're a Christie fan and are familiar with her books and biography, you will figure this one out before the end but it is a good story that keeps you reading. Got just a tad slow about mid way but then picked up again. Some minor editing errors scattered throughout. Looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Delightful. A fine cozy with engaging characters and suspects that get killed off one at a time. Most of the humor is not direct but situational, but it does add to the tale. Good writing!

Starting her own book club with just the people who had the same interest as she did Alicia became deeply interested in what happened to one of the members. The mystery begins with a missing wife. Very interesting and really holds your interest.

5 star read at a great price. Loved the story, all the characters and the twists and turns. I could not put this down. I thoroughly enjoyed both the Roxy Parker stories and was eager to dive into this book. It certainly didn't disappoint me! I can't wait for more!
