Loved Con and his group of friends. Emily was a great heroine. The story never dragged and kept me interested throughout the book. I love a great romance story and hero that's devoted to his girl. I can't wait to read Kieran's story. I found a new favorite authors.

AfterMath is a continuation of The Hurricane #1 told in Conmac's POV. This book is better understood if it's read in numerical order. The AfterMath does not contain cliff hangers, much angst and does have a HEA. It's an emotional tale of his love for Em and what they have gone through. On the down side it reminded me to much of the movie Rocky.... Cormac "Con" O'Connell, aka: The Hurricane, is on his way to being a heavy weight champion. He has a promising career ahead of him for being so young and hot headed. But the credit for his focus and drive goes to his "Sunshine" better known as Em, his wife. Em is in her final year of college and can't follow Con around the world for his matches. Her obsessed, rapist, step-father is in jail, Con and her are married and are each other's world so everything is going the way they want until a jury finds her rapist not guilty and he is on the loose and back on her trail. O'Connell must make a decision, to fight and become a champion and give them the life they deserve or to kill the rapist for kidnapping and torturing Em, which would set her free from constantly looking over her shoulder but in the process it would mean him spending the rest of his life in prison. No matter the decision, he knows he will make sure that nothing bad ever happens to his Sunshine again on his watch.

This is book # 2 in The Hurricane series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Cormac AKA "The Hurricane" O'Connell is making a name for himself. Finally, all his hard work is paying off. Emily is everything to him, is he making the right choice? Emily is finishing up college in the middle of the emotional upheaval of her life. While finally in the best relationship of her life, taking down her enemy maybe the last thing she does. Can they keep it together as the world outside starts to fall apart? This is the next installment for the amazing Hurricane series. I had such feels reading this one! I was in there wanting to take out the bad guys myself! So many surprises in store for the reader! I will not spoil it for you, but if you are a fan of the first book, or even of a great love story - you are not going to want to miss this one. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and it publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

Oh, I didn't think this sexy, rough, MMA fighter Cormac "the Hurricane" O'Connell could get even more beautiful the second time around, but yes, he did. Con’s protectiveness and love for Em is melt-your-heart romance. This gorgeous man stole my heart in the first book, and Con has stolen it again in round two with The Aftermath. Cormac married Em and lives his happily-ever-after with the only woman who has ever owned his heart. His career is on the rise with the fight of his life against Rico “Double Tap” Temple for the title to become the next WBO World Heavyweight Champion. Con is living the dream beyond anything he could ever imagine, but just when what he desires is within his reach, the one person who could steal what he loves most comes back into Con and Em's life. Con vows that this time, he will kill…or he will die protecting what is his. I have to tell you that Cormac is by far my favorite MMA book boyfriend. This gorgeous man screams sexy, mouthwatering deliciousness for me. Cormac is the strong silent type. When he finds the woman (which is Em) he falls for, he loves her with his whole heart and ever bit of his being forever. Con protects his woman and loves her hard. The man knows how to romance his woman in and out of the bedroom. Yeah, Con does it swoon-worthy good for me. I hope this is not the end of The Hurricane series, because I also fell in love with the other MMA guys who are Cormac's friends, Kieran, Tommy, and Liam. I would love to see these guys find their happily-ever-afters, especially Tommy. Yep, Tommy boy needs a feisty woman to take his ego down a few notches. The Aftermath is the amazing conclusion to Con and Em's story and their long deserved happily-ever-after. A must, must read.

Despite that this story was difficult to read, the true nature of survival and love was pure beauty!

What a great book in the series. I wish i had read the first book right before this one as there were parts i forgot about until the author helped jog my memory. This is action packed with a love story far from perfect, but any other way would not have done the characters justice, their inner strength and love for each other is an amazing thing to get lost in.

Cormac "The Hurricane" O'Connell's fighting career has really taken off and he is definitely feeling the joys and the pressures that go along with it. The rise in his fighting career, has lead to him to have to travel all over the world, and he would love nothing more than to have his wife by his side for all of it, but she had to stay behind so she could finish her college education. They both are achieving everything they have ever wanted in life, and they both want the best for each other, but spending time apart so that they can accomplish their goals is killing both of them, they know they must find a way to make it all work without either of losing sight of things. And just when they think they have a handle on things, the past comes back to haunt them, and Em's life is in danger once again... This is the follow-up novel to the "The Hurricane," and is told solely from O'Connell's point of view, which proved to be a refreshing change of pace for me, it was nice to see the situation told from the guys prospective. As soon as I started it I was once again pulled right back into the thick of things, and felt myself becoming addicted to their story all over all again. I got so involved in it that I ended up devouring it in less than a day, I just could not put it down, I was so captivated with these two!! Once again I was treated to a truly exceptional reading escape courtesy of Ms. Prescott's very impressive writing abilities, wonderfully crafted characters, which left completely satisfied!! I definitely look forward to more books from this author!! Highly recommend you give this book a try, not only it is sure to treat you to some very satisfying reading, but it is also certain to leave an indelible impression on your heart!! I loved the first and I loved this one too. I wished it had been longer with more story to it but still great. I really hope we get to see all the other guys find mates. Little tidbits about how these two are doing along the way would be enjoyable too. The potential for more and better books is right there...please keep going and continue to "WOW" us!! s.

I have been waiting for this book since I accidentally stumbled upon The Hurricane. Loved how it not only wrapped up the story but still left me wanting more. I can't wait to see if this author puts out more of her work to enjoy.

Cormac and Emily are both moving forward with their lives. Cormac is trying to go for the Title Belt and Em is in her last year of college. Both of them are happy in their marriage but outside forces are still giving them problems. Frank is doing his best to sabotage Em's progress and make it known he is not letting her go without a fight. His trial is a noose around both of their necks and Em struggles to overcome reliving all that was done to her. Cormac has a hard time watching Em fall apart and feels helpless when he can only offer her support. It was nice to see both of them deciding to still fight on and not giving up on their dreams. The book was told almost exclusively from Cormac's POV which was a nice change. A good addition to this series.

Cormac and Em are back and her stepfather Frank is even more evil than ever before. Em has hopes that there is enough evidence now to put him away forever and that she can get through this. All of the guys are taking turns keeping watch over Em and Cormac now must face his biggest fight ever. But Em also must face many things and Cormac worries about his wife. Let me say I truly enjoyed book 1 in this series and now we get more and the author just blows me away. We get action, funny, love, strength and this couple endures even more. I cannot wait to see who the author gives us next as Cormac's brothers all have stories to tell. Liam has a secret that could go wrong when it comes out, Kieran well I can't wait to see what happens with him and then Larry the oh so funny Larry. I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review.
