Teach violin with the popular Suzuki Violin School. The Suzuki Method(R) of Talent Education is based on Shinichi Suzuki's view that every child is born with ability, and that people are the product of their environment. According to Shinichi Suzuki, a world-renowned violinist and teacher, the greatest joy an adult can know comes from developing a child's potential so he/she can express all that is harmonious and best in human beings. Students are taught using the "mother-tongue" approach. Each series of books for a particular instrument in the Suzuki Method is considered a Suzuki music school, such as the Suzuki Violin School. Suzuki lessons are generally given in a private studio setting with additional group lessons. The student listens to the recordings and works with their Suzuki violin teacher to develop their potential as a musician and as a person.

This Suzuki Book & CD is integral for Suzuki violin lessons. This revised edition of the Suzuki Violin School, Volume 1 features:

My daughter violin instructor recommended this book to me along with the CD for her to practice on her own. My daughter loves it! Keeps her challenge and musically she is doing well with her lessons at the age of 4. Highly recommend it. Plus it arrived to my house within a day without having to choose the overnight shipping! Thanks Barnes & Nobles!

I was glad to find what we needed and it was exactly as described condition wise etc. Shipping was extremely slow. I started to wonder why I had to pay shipping. Other than the shipping we are very pleased with our order.

The collection of the violin, and the piano accompaniments in this book are amazing. Going to contest several times, I have found that people can't quite seem to find a book that ends with a good bang, and has a wonderful collection of other songs by the same composers. This book also carries works by famed Johan Sebastian Bach, the Double violin concerto. I enjoyed working with this book immensely and recommend it to all who want a challenge and like to play in songs that everyone likes to hear.
