A Roman holiday goes from romantic to dangerous when a cat burglar on the prowl interrupts an Italian vacation.

Zoe and Jack's trip to Rome was supposed to be a romantic one-year anniversary celebration with a little business on the side. Jack's fledgling security company has landed the plum assignment of providing additional security for the opening night gala of a museum exhibit featuring priceless gems.

However, the easy job turns complicated when they discover the exhibit is the next target of a cat burglar who has struck several times in recent months, snatching up a hoard of sparkling jewels. Opening night goes off without a hitch, but then the police accuse them of switching the real gems for fakes.

With the exhibit's organizer missing and planted diamonds showing up in their belongings, Zoe and Jack are forced to delve into the shady side of the diamond trade in a search for the culprit, a journey that takes them from the fountains and piazzas of the Eternal City to the snow-capped Alps.

This fourth novel in the "On the Run" series by Sara Rosett takes lead characters Jack and Zoe from sunny Italy to wintry Germany and Austria, and back again. When they attend a function meant to honor their work, they are framed for the theft of a rare set of gems. They must find evidence to catch the real thief before they are taken into custody. A tightly written story with strong characters, a twisty plot, great European settings, and the usual touch of romance, this book is a fun read. I'm on the the fifth book now, titled Devious. We'll see what challenges face Jack and Zoe in this next book.

I enjoyed this 4th book in the On The Run series. A mystery, suspense and humor made the story very fun to read. I loved reading about the developing relationship between Zoe and Jack and their love for each other and enjoyed a little more romance between the two of them. Zoe and Jack are two very likable and entertaining characters and hopefully there will be another book to entertain us. JudyE

I had so much fun following Zoe and Jack on another adventure that kept me enthralled. Their anniversary trip to Rome is paid in secret by an account that needs extra security at an event. However, after the event ends, Zoe and Jack are suspected of stealing one of the exhibits. Zoe even finds part of the jewelry in their room and the investigation begins in earnest. As they follow their contact to Germany and Austria, they must keep their wits to apprehend the real thief. I love this series and was very excited to read this newest installment. Ms. Rosett does a wonderful job of developing characters and providing a real sense of atmosphere for the locations visited. I also like the fact that she has a Pinterest board that allows you to see some of the sights.  Thank you for a wonderful addition to this series!
