Author Bio:

Kaoru Ono is a leading writer and illustrator of children's books in Japan. Her work includes Spring Breezes Huff and Puff, The Broken Egg, The Mouse's Bride, Playing with Shadows, The Story of the Bridge, and many, many others. She is a member of the Tokyo-based artists' group Shinseisaku Kyoukai and is active in designing public monuments. A graduate of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, she is an honorary professor of the Tokyo University of Art and Design.

Peter Howlett, born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan, is currently an EFL teacher at Hakodate La Salle Junior and Senior High Schools.

Richard McNamara, specializes in the poetry of Edmund Spenser and the psychology of stress, and is currently lecturing at Kyushu Lutheran College, Kumamoto.

Wonderful book, not just for kids, but for adult too. Great introduction to Japan's favorite food. Even if you are not keen on eating raw fish, with wonderful illustrations and fascinating facts, this book will sure to interest you.
