Jonathan Fisher was always bothering Susanna at school. Well, everywhere for that matter. It really annoyed her. She had eight siblings at home and she just wanted some peace and quiet during lunch time at school. Was that too much to ask?! Susanna’s best friend Anna thought she was lucky to have Jonathan’s attention. Anna wished he’d notice her. Jonathan was a bit on the wild side. Nothing serious, just childish pranks but his father worried about him. He had many talks with his good friend the bishop, Susanna’s father, about Jonathan. Jonathan’s best friend, Matthew Riehl was also interested in Susanna. He was going to take her for a boat ride and picnic on her thirteenth birthday. Susanna was really looking forward to that. Susanna always had the feeling that something was missing in her life. She couldn’t figure out why she felt that way though. She had her parents and her eight siblings. What could be missing? Susanna’s older brother Levi and a group of his friends sat in a booth at the Dairy Queen when they heard people singing Happy Birthday to a young girl. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he looked that way. The girl looked like Susanna and it was her birthday that day too. He knew Susanna had a twin but she didn’t. Her parents were told the baby died at birth. Could it be?! Could this Englisher girl be Susanna’s twin that had supposedly died? You’ll have to read Susanna’s story. You’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

Susanna’s Surprise ( Amish Girls series - book 4 ) by; J.E.B. Spredemann This is the fourth book in Amish Girls series and I have loved all of them. I think Susanna’s Surprise is my favorite. While I was reading this wonderful story I laughed and felt sad in different parts of the story. Spredemann has did a terrific job of pinning these stories about Amish teens and their growing up and becoming of age. I love the moral and biblical scriptures she weaves throughout the story. When I started reading I could’t  wait to see what was on the next page. I loved the story and the characters. Jonathan draws you to him with his pranks he loves to play. Susanna has a big surprise coming in her life, can she handle this big surprise? This story is for the young teen, but I am sure the adult will love it as I have.  I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review , which I have given.

Susanna’s Surprise is another great book in the Amish Girl’s series. These books are great for girls, teens, and adults alike. Each book in the series is an interesting, quick read that includes great moral and biblical principles. Susanna feels a part of her is lost, or something is missing. She is quite surprised to learn that she had been born a twin. Why hadn’t she known this sooner? And why hadn’t her folks told her before now? The answers to these questions and many more lie within the pages of a book that will keep you turning the pages for more. The book takes a couple of very interesting turns that were unexpected, yet so real and believable within the context of the story. This book, along with all the previous books in the series, has kept me wanting to continue the series. It has been enjoyable to follow some of the characters through several of the books. Each book is a story about a young girl—her family, her friends, her growing up and coming of age, her secrets, and her decisions—all based around the Amish lifestyle and a relationship with the Lord.

I love these young Amish girls!  They remind me so much of myself with my friends when we were that same age.   We also enjoyed girl talk, walks, and fun times.    Susanna discovers the most incredible surprise:  an identical twin sister.  I will let readers find out what exciting things occur after the revelation of this surprise.  It is quite an amazing thing!  The Amish, of course, have their own customs and beliefs but young people share many of the same hopes, dreams and secrets.   Another 5 Star book!!!   I am now looking forward to reading Book 5 in the Amish Girls Series:  Annie's Decision. I received a complementary pdf copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
