My kindergartener really enjoyed this book, and I loved listening to him read and laugh his way through it. Five very BIG stars for this book!

This was one of my all-time favorites as a child, and I still have my much-loved, dog-eared copy thirty years later! Now, as a teacher, I read it to my students - fifth graders! - and they love it as much as I do! All children should be so fortunate as to live, if only through this book, a magical summer of sweet adventures. This book is a must-have!

A short and sweet rhyming story that grabs on to your arm and takes you right into summer even if it's below zero outside. Follow the adventures of two young ones with bright colorful pictures for little ones, and interesting dialogue for the older ones. A very enjoyable read in the summer or anytime! This is the kind of book a person will remember for years to come. Descriptive, interesting, and sensible this book is a good catch. I throughly enjoy reading it at my age over and over again.
