A fantastic story set a few months after the destruction of the first death star. Plus a bonus story set before a new hope an assassination attempt on darth vader :)

The new series set in between the films by Brian Wood is uneventful and doesn't do anything to add to the universe, at least in this first collection. I wanted to love this and was left wondering why. Nostalgia is a powerful force. The art was fine. The characters were distinguishable and the space battles dynamic. Sadly, there just wasn't enough happening. The book was boring. Simple as that.

Great artwork & story

As stated in other reviews, this book is a bit wordy, but still enjoyable. The artwork is impressive, especially the attention to detail in the Emperial and Rebel ships. Im not crazy about some of the dialogue. A lot of Leia's lines in the book are rather out of character for her and a little bit degrading. There also seems to be an overabundant use of captions giving information we already know relating to characters we're already familiar with. In-depth criticism aside, the book is not bad, but definitely not my favorite. Im a little disappointed I spent ten bucks on this.
