I bought this for my 5 year old son, but soon realised that there is no way any child could put this together. There are 12 sheets of tiny pop out pieces that require folding and gluing and then painstakingly constructing. My husband, a certified aeronautical engineer broke his leg so spent 5 weeks recuperating on the couch. After 5 weeks of full time effort, he finally got it done. Not recommended unless you have lots of time and patience

Be warned that this is virtually impossible to assemble.  It is not for children under the age of 20.    A team of 2 PhDs and 2MDs found this difficult.  There are hundreds of paper pieces that fit together only vaguely.  I am very suspicious that the other reviews above are fake because I can't imagine how anyone could possibly turn this pile of crappy paper into a finished product.

Bought this for my Star-Wars obsessed kid brother for Christmas, only to see his spirits crushed by this evil toy. Parents beware- this is NOT for kids, even though it is clearly marketed to be (at least that's what everyone in my family thought prior to opening the box). My brother and I often build things together- I am trying to nurture his inner engineer- but this model probably ruined all of my efforts to get him to enjoy building things as it is horribly made. The pieces don't line up, the paper is terrible for gluing, and after two hours of caking my fingers with Elmer's, we have assembled 1/4 of R2's head. (It looks like the top of a garbage can.) So far the best part of the whole kit is the little button with LEDs on it that lights up and makes noise. And that is not worth $20. I guess we're going back to LEGO.

I picked this up on a large because it was on clearance, so I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into. I had done some simple papercraft things, but nothing requiring glue, or with so many tiny parts. It's definitely a pretty advanced kit that will take hours to complete. It's not something you can knock off in an evening. You need glue and a paintbrush at minimum, and I think using tweezers and a metal ruler will help with folding. In the end, it turned out to be very impressive and surprisingly three-dimensional. From across the room, you probably wouldn't know it was made a paper.

I'm surprised at how sturdy this is. It really works!

I bought this for my niece and she loved it - and I loved helping her put it together. It was simple enough for both of us, which is saying a lot. Hope you guys make something similar for Darth Vader, Yoda, Spock or Iron Man?

This is so much fun! Perfect for geek hobbyists or kids. It was a little challenging to put together - but not difficult. Easy enough. I was pretty thrilled when it lit up and started making noise. My boyfriend wants to get another one so he can try. :)
