Altough it is nothing compared to Kraven's Last Hunt, it is exceptional. First, Peter has a job interview, but will he be able to make it with the distraction of the sinister Overdrive? Ana Kravinoff has come to avenge her father. She will hunt Spiderman to make his life misreble. After she locks him in the sewers, she is in for a suprise. Guest starring Daredevil. The first story is written by, not one, not two, but THREE different authors. Not all of them fully understand that Overdrive has a fun personality. Dan Slott got it right on the nose, but the other two didn't mixing the story up. Plus, the artist was trying to make his Spiderman look like Todd McFarlane's turning out stale and awkward. Kraven's First Hunt is compelling, you can't stop until you're done reading it.

Kraven's young daughter kidnaps Peter Parker's roommate, Vin Gonzales, thinking he is Spidey, and lets him loose for a death hunt. Spidey goes to save him , but since Vin has been forced to don the Spidey costume, Peter Parker must borrow Daredevil's costume. The rescue is accomplished, but Kraven's daughter is still on the loose and with a real revenge lust for Spidey.

Sorry but if you're going to title a trade "Kraven's First Hunt" it better be as damn near spectacular as its predecessor, "Kraven's Last Hunt". This fell far short but does tease for future stories. One issue is that the main story is only three chapters and seems like more would have suited it better. Also, the cover isn't based on the main sequence but a somewhat throw away issue. Somewhat disappointing.
