Overview

A woman who has nothing. A man who wants for nothing.

Delia Woodson is desperate. That's why she agrees to it. Because she's a painter, no one is buying her paintings, and she's desperate. She has bills to pay, food to buy. Someday she might actually want to live in her own apartment instead of on her friend's couch. And all she has to do is paint baby-faced angels on an indecently rich, corporate shill's ceiling. Because, he just can't think of any other way to spend his money? And she just can't think of any other way to make it.

Jack Cabot doesn't want the mural his mother has commissioned for his office ceiling. He doesn't want the distraction, he doesn't want the silliness. He doesn't want the artist now spending her days ten feet above his head. The artist with paint in her hair, distracting him. Bickering with him. Amusing him...

Before long, Jack finds he does want something after all. And now all he has to do is convince Delia that she already has what every woman wants. Someone perfectly right for her.

I actually laughed while reading this book! The writing was clever, witty and thought-provoking in a good way. It is a feel good book that is not preachy, ridiculous or too predictable. Not an easy task. And this book was free! I loved it!

A hippie and an accountant fall in love...not with each other. I thought Delia's story was fun, but I really enjoyed Juliet's unromantic relationship. A nice change from the standard romance formula.

Humor, dialog, characters with character. I'm only on chapter 6, and I can't stop laughing---I love it!

Liked it very much. The characters were quirky and interesting. The story was fun. I also liked the backstory. Some authors would have tried to sell a second book, but this was like getting 2 books in one. I liked the author's style. Look forward to more from her.

This was a wonderous story that took mundan people and made them love. In these page you have the story of three women and how they loved. One woman was a girl who had all she ever wanted given to her. She did not see her worth until sunlight came into her family. She found someone who would be honest with her. And that someone was an artist painting secret pictures on her brother's coffice ceiling. Fate brought them together but it was the honesty he saw ib her fce that made him trust her. With her he could, perhaps, find a reason to smile. I enjoyed the repartee that made me laugh. This was not a cliffhanger. It is a complete story and I recommend it to you.

The story was kind of boring and pretty predictable. But it was still good, because there was different view points for all the characters.
