America’s #1 radio talk-show host and multi-million-copy #1 New York Times bestselling author presents a book for young readers with a history teacher who travels back in time to have adventures with exceptional Americans.

Okay, okay, my name’s really Rusty—but my friends call me Rush. Rush Revere. Because I’ve always been the #1 fan of the coolest colonial dude ever, Paul Revere. Talk about a rock star—this guy wanted to protect young America so badly, he rode through those bumpy, cobblestone-y streets shouting “the British are coming!” On a horse. Top of his lungs. Wind blowing, rain streaming...

Well, you get the picture. But what if you could get the real picture—by actually going back in time and seeing with your own eyes how our great country came to be? Meeting the people who made it all happen—people like you and me?

Hold on to your pointy triangle hats, because you can—with me, Rush Revere, seemingly ordinary substitute history teacher, as your tour guide across time! “How?” you ask? Well, there’s this portal. And a horse. My talking horse named Liberty. And—well, just trust me, I’ll get us there.

We’ll begin by joining a shipload of brave families journeying on the Mayflower in 1620. Yawn? I don’t think so. 1620 was a pretty awesome time, and you’ll experience exactly what they did on that rough, dangerous ocean crossing. Together, we’ll ask the pilgrims all our questions, find out how they live, join them at the first Thanksgiving, and much more.

So saddle up and let’s ride! Our exceptional nation is waiting to be discovered all over again by exceptional young patriots—like you!

So the two 1 star reviews are just really telling readers how much they hate Rush Limbaugh they couldn't be bothered with reading the book... Great book, really getting kids interested in and proud of their country's history!  More history books written to get kids interested and proud of how this nation was formed is exactly what we need.

I purchased two of these books for my children today at the Barnes & Noble in North Haven CT after reading the first few chapters.  I'm a U.S. history teacher at a private high school here in CT and I must say that this book may just spark a child's interest in history. I'm reading some of the reviews and I must say that either someone let the left wing fuddie duddies out of the loony bin or the Common Core curriculum has tainted their minds with negativity. Amazing piece of literature, I believe we have found the architect who has laid the foundation against the fundamental transformation of this country. It's pieces of art like this book that will lay the landscape of our youth's minds and be the roadblock in the way a socialism in this great country. If you love your children, freedoms and  our country, you will get this book for your children.

What a bunch of cry babies. Look at this book for what it is, history on a kids level. So get over it. From what I have read, I found it both enjoyable and interresting. I plan on buying each and every Rush book. Just look at the sales rank.....NUMBER ONE, and loving it!!!!!

The left has a stranglehold on our educational system, and has been brainwashing our children for two or three generations now. It's time somebody told the truth, so thank you, Rush Limbaugh.

You can't fool kids! They are brutally honest and I can honestly say they have LOVED the chapters we have read so far! They can't get enough of Liberty, the talking horse. And I can't get enough of the "exceptional Americans" that Rush introduces us too. And I love that the book teaches more than just great American history lessons. It teaches invaluable life lessons that will help anyone become a better human being! Bravo, Rush Limbaugh for writing a book that the whole family can enjoy! A wonderful way to celebrate America in our own home!

great book, its great to see the right point of view( pun intended).  I have read and seen history channel takes on the settlement of the pilgrims. they try so hard to shame Americans in being proud of this country. and show this country was founded in lies and by oppressing, and taking advantage of  others. I don't always agree with rush, as i'm more conservative libertarian.  great book my niece loves it  -Ricardo Pimentel

My granddaughter got her copy of Rush Revere yesterday and called to say she loves it -- especially Liberty. She is enjoying reading stories about our country's history.

Buying tomorrow and giving my son $10 to read it. I have not read it, but know enough to know that what is revisionistic history is what he is learning at school. I want my son to be proud of our nations history, for it is he greatest nation on earth... founded by god fearing people. This book is a welcome vaccine against our school's history.

This is a charming book for children growing up in a family were my father was a Principal of a Junior High School in NYC and a mother who was a reading Teacher in NYC any book that entertains young people and will get them to just read is a great book, and this one tells the story of America in a fun way that is what books are supposed to do. Flying cars like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Lions that talk after you go through the closet into another world The LIon, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Wizards who are children Harry Potter, tornados that take you far away from Kansas to the World of Oz, that is what reading used to be about. It is sad that some peoples comments here are based on thei authors name and not what the book is about or intended to do. Thank goodness children are more open minded. These are probably the adults who shout to stamp out bulling lead by example why don't you and open your minds and read a book. As for history, yes please go and look up Pilgrims and Puritans maybe some of the commenters would learn something. This is a delightful book, I always read the book before I give it as gifts for the holidays and this book will give lots of enjoyment. The illustrations are very well done although the horses legs are a bit out of proportion to the horse, but as I said it is a fantasy so if a horse can travel through time he can have spindly legs. Delightful.

Written for all, something to read them to slumberland, boy a series covering the nations history could counter those liberals, socialists, aw heck a rat by any other name is still a comunist fellow traveler. THEY have been dictating what they would like us to think! LOVE IT Rush, keep up the good work. JLS

These people leaving one star are obviously hacks who haven't bothered to ever listen to Rush or read his book.  Like him or not, he's smart, funny and a terrific communicator.  Libs--your cheesy one star reviews are transparent.  Grow up.  This is an awesome book!  Perfect for kids and adults alike.

A really fun read!  My kids love it.  They laughed and laughed at some of the crazy stuff that happens to Rush Revere and his horse Liberty.  It's a fun way to learn about history.  You and your kids will enjoy it. I'm glad I got the book when I did, because it's nearing Thanksgiving, and my son is learning all about the pilgrims in school this month!

With thanksgiving just a few weeks away.  I took the kids to Barnes and Noble to pick out a book.  This is the book they chose. Now I have to say that I certainly no supporter of the GOP.  My kids love the book.  It took 3 nights to read it to them but they want us to start again tonight.  I going to send it in to school with them Monday so the teacher has it to read to the class starting next week.

This book has done the job! Getting children interested in history and perhaps  they will pay closer attention to what going on in their country in the future.  We can only hope right?  Whatever party you hail from try to remember everyone Is given the right to choose even your children will one day make a choice.

I'm proud to be an American where even the blatantly ignorant have a right to inane opinions. Before I buy the book, however, I'd like to know from the kiddie-history buffs whether the book discusses the near mutiny on the Mayflower. Apparently, a number of the families aboard had indentured servants who also believed that THEY too would be free once the Mayflower landed. After all, the ship  was not going to land in Virginia but in the wilds of Massachusetts, Cape Cod, actually, so servants purchased on the 7-year plan believed the sale null and void once they reached shore. Not so fast, the Captain said. So they drew up a revolutionary document, The Mayflower Compact. It truly is a great document, except for the indentured servants who were told that anyone not signing the document would be punished under the new rules of the community. Also, what mention is made, say, of John Billington and his family? John needed a new lease on life and the Mayflower was just the ticket, so to speak. The 'saints' (Pilgrims) and 'strangers' (non-Pilgrims) were not pleased, especially the 'saints' (as Pilgrims called themselves). It is believed by some of the Eastern elite historians (some themselves descendants of Mayflower passengers) that John and his family were, for shame!, Catholics!  Perhaps it can be understood, then, why it was John Billington who became America's first criminal, convicted of murder and summarily executed on the Shores of the New World.  It's not kiddie-fare, really, look at kid's video games, but it caused a stir at the time. Other colonists were charged with murdering Native Americans, you know, they taught 'saints' and 'strangers' alike about planting corn and eating yams and chickens and other fowl (sorry, no turkey) that happened to keep 'saints' and 'strangers' alike from starving to death that first winter. I'm no historian, let me be clear, so I'm encouraged that Rush will finally tell us the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help him, God. And, too, at this same time, Bill O'Really can tell us about what really happened to Jesus! Thank God! Thank Bill! Thank Rush! Just in time for Christmas.

Thank you Rush. And the truth goes marching on. The left is left and the truth is the truth.

Great book for introducing our country's history through a child's imagination and interest.

I don't know if the people who gave negative reviews even have children.... I am a historian and social studies teacher. Take politics out of the equation. My kids beg me each night "one more chapter? Please?" That is what matters. My only criticism is that this book can't be read by the age group it is intended for on their own. My 9 year old reads HP, Percy Jackson, etc, but the words per page and some vocab wouldn't work for him. But we are reading it together and thoroughly enjoying it!

I purchased this for my 10 year old grandchildren who loved it. Well I must admit I truly enjoyed it, too. Great way to teach children some great history lessons. Well done, Rush!

Fabulous and fun way to tell future generations the history of this great nation. Nice to read a book that matches nicely with original sources...with the exception of the talking horse, haven't been able to confirm that he was really there!

I love the way he uses different characters and comedy to tell the real story of Thanksgiving. I just gave my extra copy to my niece. I am looking forward to another Rush adventure.
