Join us on this incredible time-travel adventure!

Liberty, my wisecracking horse, our old friends Cam, Tommy, Freedom, and I are off to meet some super-brave soldiers in the year 1775. Yep, that’s right. We’ll be visiting with the underdog heroes who fought for American independence, against all odds—and won! But not before eight very real years of danger and uncertainty. Be a part of Rush Revere’s crew as we rush, rush, rush into a time when British rule had become a royal pain, and rebellion was in the air. We’ll be on hand to see two lanterns hungin the Old North Church, prevent a British spy from capturing Paul Revere, and grapple with danger at the battles of Lexington, Concord, and Bunker Hill.

The extra-special part of this trip is that right here in the twenty-first century, Cam’s dad is a soldier fighting in Afghanistan, and Cam has been pretty angry that he is away. Visiting with exceptional American heroes like Dr. Joseph Warren and George Washington, racing along after Paul Revere on his midnight ride, and seeing the Declaration of Independence signed make Cam see his own dad in a new and special way.

But don’t worry. Along with the danger, excitement, and patriotism, there will still be time to stop for a delicious spinach, oats, and alfalfa smoothie. No, wait—that one’s for Liberty. The kids and I voted for strawberries.

Now let’s open the magic portal to the past!

This book is not about Rush or his person beliefs - feelings. it is about history. For those so blind they can not see past their personal dislike for Rush then they are missing the chance to help teach their children true history. Not junk information trying to sell untrue information in order to promote personal agenda's. I have bought all 3 of his books for our grand daughter plus the audio books. She has shared them with her friends. They all had fun learning the real meaning Thanks Giving plus the real history of a time when real people took the time to share and to teach the meaning of giving. They have learned the real meaning-history of Thanks Giving with out someone trying to change history in order to make history fit what they want from it.

This is an exceptional read. The book is in no way political. Just a wonderful, fun, heartfelt story about the founding of the United States. If you can get past the name on the cover, and not hold any grudges against him, you will likely truly enjoy this book. It is meant for the younger reader, but is entertaining for all ages. Wonderful and one of my favorite books this year!

This book is interesting.  It is not a deeply detailed history account, but does give factual information.  It is entertaining and engages reluctant readers.  If a book interests a child he will go on to read more.   My ten year old boy loved it.  Adults in my family also read it.    (You can't judge a book because of the author's name. This is not a political agenda.)

The truth weaved in a fun and easy way to remember! I'm 50 and learned things I never knew and my teenagers (who will never admit it) learned a ton too, while laughing along the way. Hands down beats their History class in school in every way!

I personally have not read this one but have read the other two he wrote...I borrowed them from my grandson who is now 12...he LOVED them and I had given them to him so he shared them with me. I suspect this one that is being given for Christmas will generate as much love as the others. He loves to read and he loves history. His 5th grade teacher was surprised but the information he knew and wanted to know how he knew it. She has been alerted and perhaps read them herself so she could teach better instead of what she is "allowed" to teach.!

Of course I had to read it too. All the Rush books are great this is a great one. I used to teach 4th. grade, would be a good book to read to them.

After reading it I purchased three copies for my young grandchildren for Christmas. It is another great effort to help American children read about the REAL history of our country's founding. I strongly urge everyone to get a copy for your own reading and your children and grandchildren. The children will actually enjoy reading about history!

To bad their is so many closed minded people. The hard cover books and audio books are just fabless. Just because Rush wrote them they give thumbs down. If you want to leave remarks on some thing at least read them. All eight of my grand kids like reading them and gives high marks.

This is not about Rush but rather American history since it gets twisted more and more all the time by the new "history books".

If history had been this much fun when I was in school I would have remembered more of it. Very entertaining and factual. I especially liked the story line that dealt with what children of military families go through. I look forward to the next installment.

This is a great read for young and old alike. It helps them think about our history, it helps them to generate questions for them to ask not only their parents but also their teachers at school.

In this book, Rush Revere's time-traveling horse, Liberty, takes Rush and his students, Cameron (Cam), Freedom, and Tommy to the American Revolution. On the journey, you will meet Dr. Joseph Warren, Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and of course General George Washington. In the end, Cam realizes what his dad actually goes through after seeing the Revolutionary War. His dad is in the army. Also, Rush and Cam get to see the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I read this book to my 5th graders because they are learning about the Revolution and what caused it. My kids (students) wrote a review on Rush Revere and the American Revolution and over half the class said 5 stars. I recommend this book to everyone.

These books are amazing! We bought them for my brothers on audio and they're hooked. It is very helpful, and in no way politically biased. They are a fun read and guaranteed to teach. Rush did a good job with these. As they say, don't judge a book by its cover. Rush has his opinions, you have yours, but those don't come out in these books. They are great for all ages! Try them. Come on... at least the samples!

A Wonderful Journey through America's Proud History! At a time in our history when many choose to denigrate America's good and exceptional contributions to mankind, Rush Limbaugh renews the Great American Spirit and share the reasons for, and founding ideals of, American Exceptionalism! I highly recommend t to both young and old ... and especially those who lost faith in our Founding Principles! Well done, Rush!

There are none so blind as those that refuse to see. Notice the negative reviews are those that did not read it? Rush writes about actual history, not dumbed down, not white washed, but real history our grandparents learned about. These books are so entertaining I believe they set a child up for a lifelong love of history! I hated history, maybe because of boring teachers. Wish I had these books as a child.

I highly recommend this book and the previous two books of Rush Revere; because ALL young children and their parents should read all three. All brave parents who are home schooling their children should have these as teaching aids. 100% appropriate for children who want to know and learn the truth about the history of this great country. Well done Rush Limbaugh. Thank You

As a retired sixth grade reading teacher, this series would be a perfect tool for sparking the reluctant reader's interest in American History. More traditional history classics such as Johnny Tremain are too advanced for struggling students to pick up initially. But once their desire to learn more about the American Revolution is inspired by Rush Revere, they may be more willing to try reading a more difficult book. My job as a reading teacher was always to find the "hook" that would make them want to read and this book is just that.

I'm in my sixties and "back in the day" in the Show Me State a history book was just that.  There was no agenda just the facts of how geographical and political borders were drawn.  This book along with the other two give a fair and accurate account of what I was taught  when I attended yes public school.  For some of you, take your blinders off and learn something that might be contrary to what you have been taught.  I don't believe Barnes and Noble is in business to care about any one individuals reading preference.  They are a typical capitalist company that is in business to earn a living, and to employee individuals who believe in the free market society in which our founding fathers so righteously believed in.  Enjoy the book(s) folks.  I'm not sure what it will do for you but for me it was just a refresher course in True American History.  Oh by the way my name is Dan not Anonymous.
