Ricky Ricotta and his Mighty Robot are ready for the best day ever!
Today is Ricky's birthday, and it's off to a great start! After peanut-butter pancakes and presents, Ricky's parents are taking him and his Mighty Robot to see dinosaurs at the museum. And they have a surprise for Ricky: His cousin, Lucy, is coming with them! Ricky thinks Lucy is a real pest. Suddenly, things aren't looking so sunny anymore.
At the museum, there is another surprise in store. General Jackrabbit, an evil genius from the planet Jupiter, is jumping for joy! He has just created three Jurassic Jackrabbits to help him take over Earth. Can Ricky and his Robot beat these big, bad bunnies? Or will this end up the WORST birthday ever?
About the Author
As a child, Dav Pilkey was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. Dav was so disruptive in class that his teachers made him sit out in the hall every day. Luckily, Dav loved to draw and make up stories, so he spent his time in the hallway creating his own original comic books.
In the second grade, Dav Pilkey created a comic book about a superhero named Captain Underpants. His teacher ripped it up and told him he couldn’t spend the rest of his life making silly books. Fortunately, Dav was not a very good listener.
Dav has gone on to create award-winning and bestselling books for children. His Captain Underpants series has more than 80 million copies in print worldwide and has been translated into more than 28 languages. In 2017, DreamWorks Animation brought the character to the silver screen in the feature film adaptation Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, and Netflix is now streaming The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants TV show.
Dav’s latest creation, Dog Man, continues to be a #1 New York Times bestselling series with more than 13 million copies in print worldwide and translations available in more than 21 languages. My daughter first read this book for her class. The "Flip-O-Rama" pages are a big hit. I admit, I like that little feature too. The story it's self is fun and just long enough to hold a childs interest. We also like the "how to draw" section in the back of the book.
If you like fiction books then this is a great book for you. Ricky Ricottas Mighty Robot vs. the Jurassic Jackrabbits is mostly about a mouse and his giant robot that fight evil villains from other planets. Ricky is a kid who has a tough robot. General Jackrabbit is mean and evil. The setting takes place in a small town. This is like the book Captain Underpants because they both fight evil villains. This is a great book for kids of any age because the book has comedy and action.
