What a way to tell the various stories in the Bible, not just to kids but also to adults. The stories come alive and because they are in a different genre the listener, particularly the people who know the stories from their youth, have to pay attention to what is being said and thus get a new meaning and appreciation of the stories.
Toddler's Bible Stories This well-constructed board book has a padded cover. There ten classic and age appropriate Bible stories written to appeal to toddlers. From the story of Creation through other well-known Bible stories the book ends with the resurrection of Jesus. Colorful and well done illustrations will keep a child's attention in the telling of these excellent and favored stories from the Bible. There are a couple of phrases that I feel are somewhat harsh for a toddler's understanding, but basically this is a sound and accurate portrayal of Bible stories children will enjoy. Fantastic Bible to introduce bible stories to preschoolers - have used it for all 3 of my kids, youngest now being in 1st grade. Bought a new one to replace the worn out one and am purchasing one for a friend.
We use this book for bed-time stories and family worship. My son is three years old and we've read through it almost three times. I love that the stories are true to the Bible and rhyme so creatively. It's a real joy for my family.
My 2 and 4 year olds love the pictures and easy to follow stories. I love that I am reading Bible stories to my kids and they want to hear them! I highly recommend this as a first Bible for preschoolers.
Excellent introduction to the Bible for toddlers. Our grandchild wants us to read it over and over again from cover to cover. The rhythm of the rhymes holds her attention quite well!
We first became aquainted with this book when one of our chilren were in the hospital--they had it in his room and upon visiting with him my younger son would read it--my younger son fell in love with it, which leds us in purchasing one for our own family. Our family has fond memories reading these fun rhymes when tucking our children in at night.
I received this book as a gift when my little girl was born. I began reading it to her at bedtime and she loves to fall asleep to the rhymes! I love reading it too!
