About the Author

After attending Ohio State University, where he lampooned state and student politics as a political cartoonist for the school paper, Brian Basset landed a "tryout" as an editorial cartoonist for the Seattle Times, a job which lasted 16 years. In 1994, he began to devote himself full-time to his comic strip Adam. A self-professed "retro" kind of guy, Basset launched Red and Rover in 2000. He lives and works outside of Seattle, Wash.

I'm a 45 year old female, my dog is a 5 year old Chihuahua and we are so like Red and Rover. I started reading them then had the comic strip e-mailed to me daily. No, I'm not crazy, Red and Rover are just real to me. Thank You Brian Basset

I was given this book for my sixteenth birthday by one of my really good friends and was attacked ever since reading it several times through. There is an extra ordinary connection between red and rover that keeps you wanting to find out what they will do next. the comics take place durring when space travel was first coming around in the fifties, and other things that happened around then. I really recommend this book to anyone who likes comics for this one will truelly become one of your favorates.
