This English translation of the Qur'an is a compilation of the Muslim faith's Final Revelation from God to mankind through the last Prophet Muhammad, Peace be upon Him. The Qur'an has a wealth of information--both worldly wisdom and intellectual concepts--providing a code of life for humankind generally and Muslims in particular. Indeed, the Qur'an's miracle lies in its ability to offer something to non-believers and everything to believers. This edition is fully indexed.

This is a good translation of Holy Quran. It is translated in modern English and it also does not contain the Arabic text so it is lighter. Although this must be considered only as a traslation not the origianl text.

I do not like translations with archaic English (i.e. thou, thee ,etc.) since I do not understand well. If you would like to read a plain English language Quran translation then get this one. I recommend reading the translation-only versions of the Quran to readers of all ages, to anybody wanting to learn about Islam without the knowledge of Arabic language, whether you're born a muslim or not. Learn the religion from the original source, at least as close to it as possible without learning Arabic. If you read the "with commentary" versions, you will read a lot of additional information that are the viewpoints of the author, and not part of the Quran.

Not without its controversies but widely considered to be the best English language translation of the Qur'an. Maintains the repetitiveness and flowery language - along with the organization of chapters by length rather than by chronology, theme, or anything else even remotely logical - of the original Arabic, so it's a tough slog for any but a very dedicated reader. Invaluable as a reference book, however.
