I purchased this book as a gift for my 4 year old niece for Easter. I figured I couldn't go wrong with anything by Mary Engelbreit as she is a periennial favorite of kids due to her beautiful illustrations and contemporary takes on classic stories. I was right! My niece loved the book and my 3 year old son was mad that I gave it away because he liked it too! I am a big fan of Mary Engelbreit's. I think she makes reading fun for kids (and their parents!) I also recommend her treasury of nursery rhymes (it is red) and her treasury of fairy tales (it is the yellow one). My son has enjoyed both of these books from a very young age as well.
