Children Use Their Whole Bodies to Praise God!

Your family will love this unique board book! Using colorful, engaging artwork, Psalms of Praise introduces little ones to the lyrical Scripture of the Psalms while illustrating how our everyday movements are actually postures of praise.

Children will delight in the beautiful illustrations and learn how the fun ways they naturally move their bodies are an important part of worship. The movements of Psalms are coupled with both calm and joyful texts taken straight from the Bible.

You will appreciate the artistic design, theologically sound content, and helping your little one understand the true purpose for which his or her body was created - praising God!

Baby Believer primers are designed to grow with children, from early infancy through elementary school. In addition to basic Bible theology, Baby Believer board books are filled with quotations from the Bible, creeds, hymns, church fathers, and other articles of faith to help reinforce the content and provide intellectual handholds for older children who possess a greater capacity for learning and memorization.

I purchased this book after supporting the Kick-starter campaign for Bible Basics (their first book). My 2 year old and I love this book because it helps her be in the Word every time we read it together. She's already starting to memorize scripture and theology due to these books. We love the books from this company and can't wait to see the books that come out next. We adore the layout and the pictures are amazing!

Solid theology and easy to understand without dumbing down biblical truth

The words and illustrations in the book are full of truth and beauty! This book has been a great introduction to the Psalms for my children and really enjoy going through the movements with them when I read it to them.

Such a beautiful followup to Bible Basics. The illustrations are so vibrant and beautiful, the accompanying verses are heart-verses that I hope my children will start memorizing (my kids are probably older than the target audience-- 8 and 6-- but I love that they can read the verses on their own during bedtime). I'll often suggest they read this book when they are feeling scared or unable to fall asleep.

I have the first book in the Baby Believer series (Bible Basics) and my toddler and I love them so much. I was really excited to introduce the Psalms of Praise as part of our devotional time. The Bible verses in this book are some of my favorites, and my 3 year old was so happy to see that his favorite verse (Psalms 4:8) was in there too! The pictures are beautiful and I love that every Bible verse has a suggested movement. This really helps kids to memorize the verses and to have fun while they are doing it! Psalms of Praise and Bible Basics are perfect for teaching your little ones about the Christian faith.

I had my first child just 5 years ago, and I am so amazed by how many more high quality, theologically solid Christian books there are available now for the littlest ones among us. Psalms of Praise is a beautifully illustrated board book that provides an introduction to the Psalms and movement for babies. The colors are vivid and lovely and each illustration serves to illuminate the passage it is paired with. This book is exactly the sort of thing I want to put into my children's hands and into the hands of the children I minister to. I'm excited to put this copy in my youngest daughter's Easter basket, and I'll be ordering another for our church's nursery. *I received a copy of Psalms of Praise from Harvest House in exchange for an honest review.

We love this book! My 2yr old loved acting out the movements and looking at the illustrations. I love that there is a complete scripture that goes along with each motion. The scriptures are not simplified yet are not too long or complex that my toddler loses interest.

We love this book! It's well-made so my toddler can read it on his own and I'm not worried about it getting beat up. My favorite part is how easy it is for my two year old to memorize and interact with this book. It's a must-buy for parents who want to teach their kids scripture!

This is a cute board book that will be fun to read and move to with kids. I like that the Psalms are short; maybe with enough repetition a child will even learn these verses! I think it is a sweet way to show that our faith involves both the body and the soul while teaching simple movements taken right from Scripture. I also appreciate the diversity of the children in the sweet illustrations; that is important to me in the books that grace our children's bookshelves. (I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

This is an absolutely wonderful book and so much fun for the whole family. My 2 year old loves all the fun motions, my 5 year old loves leading her in those motions and is working on memorizing the scripture, and I love watching them have a blast praising the Lord through movement and scripture. Its engaging, sweet, and simple. The illustrations are beautiful as well. If you're looking for a fun, easy way to introduce your little to the Word of God, this book is a must have!

I am so excited to enjoy this beautiful book with my little! She is 3 months and already entranced by the brightly colored illustrations. I'm looking forward to when she is old enough to engage with the actions associated with each of the Psalms. This is a great board book!

I loved this book! First of all, the artwork is so beautiful and inviting and our two year old loves to move along with the pages. Such a fun way to learn God's word for both mama and her babes! If you don't have this, you're missing out :)

The book of Psalms in the Bible has always been a personal favorite of mine and I could hardly wait to get my hands on Psalms of Praise for my two year old daughter in order share that love with her. She has been carrying the book around the house since it arrived looking at the beautiful illustrations and ‘reading’ the words she knows. The verses chosen for each verb are perfectly appropriate for introducing scripture, providing comfort in times of fear and sadness, and planting seeds of faith in her heart as we seek to teach her how to praise God with her whole body for her whole life. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

This is an adorable and wonderful little book. A perfect gift for a new little one or toddler, and it blesses the parent who reads it as well. I love that it teaches that praise and worship can be done in a variety of ways and makes scripture easy to grasp by pairing it with body motion. Psalms of Praise is also illustrated beautifully, especially through the variety of ethnicities represented and times of day/places depicted - reminding us that God has created everyone to praise Him, anytime and every where!

This is a beautiful board book perfect for every child! The psalm selections are short enough to keep a child's interest without feeling disjointed or too lacking. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous watercolors that have enough bold color to engage a young reader- my daughter is 5 months and likes to rub the pages as we read to her- while also being interesting enough for older readers. I also appreciate that the children featured throughout are of all different races and feel very inclusive. I can't recommend the Baby Believer series highly enough! We have both currently released books and love to use them to introduce our baby to biblical concepts through such beautiful images. As a couple of seminary graduates, we appreciate that the books both use quotes directly from the Bible to impart movement and counting to our little one. I received Psalms of Praise compliments of Harvest House in exchange for my honest review.

Psalms of Praise: A Movement Primer is the second book in the Baby Believer series by Danielle Hitchen and Jessica Blanchard. This little book features beautiful illustrations that are sure to capture the attention of young readers and draw them in. Each page has a verse from the book of Psalms and illustrates actions for children to take as they memorize the verse. One example is Psalm 47:1 which states, "Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!" The illustration for this verse shows a child clapping. My daughter is only two but I am excited to begin teaching her these short verses that contain deep truths about God's character. My daughter loves the first book in the Baby Believer series First Bible Basics: A Counting Primer (you can read my review of it here), and I can't wait to surprise her with Psalms of Praise in her Easter basket. I love that the purpose of the Baby Believer books is to help little ones hide the Word in their hearts. I'm thankful for this wonderful resource because I know it will help me memorize Scripture too! Psalms of Praise receives my highest recommendation. I received Psalms of Praise compliments of Harvest House in exchange for my honest review.

This book is so sweet - it has really beautiful and simple illustrations that perfectly match the wording. I love that it can also be used for practicing new and different movements. It will be the perfect basket filler for my baby's first Easter!

I loved the first book, so when I found out they came out with the second book , I had to have it. Psalms of Praise is filled with educational, colorful, graphics. It promotes movement and also promotes early bible verse learning for all ages. It’s a great way to get your little ones involved at an early age. My 15 month old loves this book. It’s officially my go to baby shower gift.

I received Psalms of Praise today. When I opened the package the first thing I noticed was how awesome and brightly colored the cover is! Photos online do not do the art work any justice. You cannot help but smile when you see the book. The colors and art work remind me of the writer, Eric Carle. The diversity with the childrens' skin color in the book is fantastic and a nice touch. What is so cool about this is this book can be read to an infant and still be used when your child is older. You can start off by reading but as your child gets older you can put the words into action and let your child act out each word. Turn reading into a fun game of learning and memorization without the child knowing. Each passage you can tell was picked for making everyone feel uplifted, loved and safe. Psalms of Praise as well is a great size to fit easily in a bag and to be held easily. Also, the book is pretty sturdy. So any parent with a child who just loves to act like a dinosaur this is perfect for you. Overall this is a great book for any baby to child. If you are wanting a book to share the love of God, teach your child, and a book that can be used many times over...This is for you!

This book has beautiful pictures. It does a great job of getting my kids moving but hearing verses from the Bible. Such a precious book. My kids are 3 and 6 but this book will last them many more years. So fun and yet so meaningful.

A great gift for the baby in your life! Each page will introduce the reader to a movement such as kneel or jump, and a corresponding Bible verse. The artwork is adorable!

This is such a beautiful book. The illustrations vibrant but still soft and inviting. I love the scriptures that coordinate with every movement. What a great way to be instilling the Bible in children from a young age. This book is going to the top of my list of new baby gift ideas.

This book is GORGEOUS. Verses from the psalms are accompanied by beautiful illustrations from artist Jessica Blanchard. Why a "movement primer"? Each verse focuses on an action verb (kneel, stand, walk, run, jump, clap, dance, sit, still, lie down). The painted illustrations not only beautifully (and whimsically) depict children worshiping in each of these ways, but the children who are represented are also multi-ethnic and located in a variety of settings (valleys, mountains, the beach, etc.). Every page is unique! I love the verses that were chosen, and the order is perfect for reading before naps or bedtime (as it ends with lying down to go to sleep) -- although this book is fun to read at any time of day! What a joy to have your little ones act out each verb as you read the psalm lyrics aloud! Danielle and Jessica, thank you for this treasure that we can use to teach our little ones God's Word.

I love this book! It’s beautiful to read to my toddlers without silly pictures or childish artwork. And I love the use of the Psalms to teach the depth of the Bible instead of relying on the same scriptures quoted in every children’s book. What a unique gift idea for the Christian parent. Something both beautiful and thoughtful as we disciple our children!

Beautiful illustrations from front to back. When I first read it to my daughter, she shared, "I Love it!" When I asked her why, she said, "because of the pictures!" I appreciate how these books help us bring scripture into our children's lives in a way that engages their attention and helps them learn the Psalms. Would highly recommend this book as well as Bible Basics: A Baby Believer Counting Primer. High quality books, rich content and beautiful illustrations!
