When Jack Morgan opens the Mumbai branch of Private, the world's most elite detective agency, he hands the reins to top agent Santosh Wagh. Now, in this teeming metropolis of over thirteen million people where the guilty have everywhere to hide, Santosh goes on the hunt for one elusive killer. A killer who is targeting seemingly unconnected women and placing strange objects at their death scenes in a series of chilling rituals.

As the Private team races to find a link that will lead them to the next victim, an unseen menace threatens to destroy the agency from within-and plunge the city into chaos. With countless lives hanging in the balance, Santosh must confront the demons of his past . . . before Private India meets an explosive end.

Not one of my favorite books by James Patterson. Had to force myself to finish it. Usually I don't want to put his books down.

I was very disappointed in this book. The characters were undeveloped and shallow, there was no one to root for or care about and Jack Morgan was barely a blip on the page. JP continues to prostitute his name and this time it was a big miss.

complicated story with all the names to pronounce. I personally do not find it to be of his best

I loved all of the Private series, easy to follow, great plots. I had a hard time following and identifying the characters.

I have enjoyed the other 'Private" books, but this one seemed very disjointed. Did not hold my interest. Not like other Patterson books.

I usually love James Patterson, but his one is a major disappointment.  It is offensive, boring and not enjoyable in the least.  I will continue to look forward to JP's books, but will have a hard time putting this one out of my mind.

Usually can read JP novels quickly. Just could not get through this one. Just wasn't as intense and thrilling as his other novels.

I've been a Patterson fan for years but this book tests my loyalty!  It managed to be boring, trite and offensive all at the same time. Completing it was Purgatory. Readers should be PAID for enduring this torture!

Usually I can't put a Patterson book down. This one, bored me I couldn't get into any of it. I put it down, read something else, came back, put it down, read something else. Still haven't finished it. It was obviously not written by Patterson, but by Ashwin Sanghi instead.

This wad not one of Pattersons best. It was hard to follow with all the India referances. Would not read another one.

This book is boring I never finished it. This really does not live up to James Patterson's standards for a quick witty story.

I read all of the reviews, however, l found this book to be so exciting and suspenseful! There were a lot of characters but it made you more alert! This was a great read! Since this was in another country, it makes since to have names from that country!

I don't know if it is because he has so many books on the market in conjunction with other writers or what but his quality is going down hill on his books dramatically. They just aren't the same as many years prior.

Awful...I gave it 1 star because I had to. Worst J.P. book ever. Boring, forced myself to read 10 chapters. Then I had to stop. Don't waste your money. I usually like this series. I will move on to the next one. This was the first of his books I could not finish and there were a few others that came close.

Just because I can't take away credit for such a twisted convoluted story line. Private Vegas will be the last book of this series.. DaU Milwaukee, WI

It's different but it's not terrible. Yes the beginning is a tad slow, but there are some good twists and it's cool that the story is set in India.
