Absolutely Loved It!!

I thought...uhg, an italian playboy and an American....I was not really expecting much from this storyline but boy did I misjudge it. The hero is well-written and likable and the heroine, although she got on my nerves a few times just because of stupidity, was also likeable. The sex was nice and hot but I do recommend Lisa Marie Rice's Midnight series over this. Also her Dangerous Series.

I actually skipped over almost all of the sex scenes so I could get to the end of the story!

Hope Winston came to Bari, Italy to help her best friend. Kay was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident. Now she needs Hope to take over as director at her school until she has recovered. Since Hope is being tormented by cruel pranks, Kay asks Police Captain Franco Rivera to look out for her friend. Hope is distrustful of the police so things don't go well inspite of their attraction. I was hooked. The chemistry between Hope and Franco is off the charts. There is a constant battle between desire and domination. Franco wants to keep her safe. Hope dislikes his bossiness. Meanwhile an unknown enemy targets them. Lisa Marie Rice has written a compelling story with larger than life characters and a fast paced plot that is filled with danger. The setting is beautiful and is the perfect backdrop for this suspenseful story. I enjoyed Port of Paradise. I enjoy reading romantic suspense so this book hit the spot.
