From friends...

Kate Reynolds has two loves in her life--her daughter and her coffee shop--and that's all she wants or needs. She's learned the hard way that you can't rely on a man to be there when it counts, and she's determined to do it all on her own. But when her lifelong friend, rugged crooner Mackenzie Winters, agrees to be the music act for her grand opening, the last thing she expects is for feelings she's denied her whole life to resurface.

To lovers...

Mack is on the fast-track to seeing his dreams come true. With a growing audience and demos out to record labels, he knows he can make it big--if he can just stay focused. Experience has taught him that to get what he wants he has to keep his eye on the prize. Trouble is, his eyes keep wandering to the one woman he needs to avoid at all costs. He's been in love with Kate as long as he can remember, but the last thing he wants to do is hurt her.

Two paths...

The more time they spend together, the harder it is to fight their feelings. They both know they can't give the other what they need. Their paths are just too different. But the longer they keep playing at love, the worse it will hurt when the game is over.

Stars: 5 (out of 5) for overall story Chilies: 4 (out of 5) for heat between the sheets/or anywhere else Ending: No cliffhangers, No cheating, HEA Chapters: 13 + Epilogue Review: This is an amazing love story between two friends that grew up together and kept their love for each other hidden and secret. It’s a story about them finally revealing their feelings and dealing with their struggles on how to be together when their life’s paths are going in two very different and separate ways. It’s about making choices and clearly understanding what’s important and what as well as whom they want in their lives. It’s is a heart wrenching, emotional roller-coaster at times but one that ends with an HEA. So WORTH READING!!! ARC read in exchange for honest review.

A truly relaxing, engaging, fun, sweet small town long time friends to lovers romance with a band of family and friends you can't help but fall in love with. Makes a great sunny afternoon lounging in the back yard listing to the birds sing reading adventure. Kate Reynolds is so spunky, sweet and strong, a single mom with so much on her plate. Mackenzie Winters or Mack is so fun, steady and sexy how is it possible to not adore him. They are the perfect answer to each others unspoken needs it is only natural they fight it. The charters in this story are so real and the setting described in such detail you are easily able to escape the real world for a few hours and relax in this small town goodness. Looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful place.
