Doubles are good for lots of things—double scoops of ice cream, double features at the movies. But double vision is NOT a good kind of double. In fact, it can make kindergarten kind of hard. Ginny sees double chairs at reading circle and double words in her books. She knows that only half of what she sees is real, but which half? The solution to her problem is wondrously simple: an eye patch! Ginny becomes the pirate of kindergarten. With the help of her pirate patch, Ginny can read, run, and even snip her scissors with double the speed! Vibrant illustrations from Lynne Avril capture the realities of what Ginny sees both before and after.

A great story for a little girl starting kindergarten!

Ginny loves school but has trouble with things like reading, numbers and cutting with scissors. She doesn't know she is seeing double until the school nurse diagnosis her with double vision. Now there is no holding her back! A perfect book about a real champ that begs to be read aloud.

Great read aloud for first graders in teaching them that a disability is common in all of us.

Ginny is thrilled to start kindergarten but shows difficulty in reading, coloring, and cutting. The school nurse realizes that Ginny is actually seeing everything twice! Ginny excels once she wears an eyepatch to school. This book encourages everyone to embrace differences and overcome obstacles.

This book is about a young girl who has double vision. When she is diagnosed during school vision testing, she is sent to an eye doctor who gives her an eye patch to help treat her double vision. This book would be good for children who are experiencing vision difficulties or who are afraid to go to the eye doctor. It would also be helpful in discussions about teasing and acceptance.

A little girl sees double. She runs into chairs and can't read her book. She messes up cutting and coloring in the lines. She goes for an eye examination and finds out she needs glasses and a temporary eye patch. This book shows that glasses help. This is a good book to read to younger kids so that they understand that glasses are normal and helpful. This is a good book to pair with "Glasses: Who Needs 'Em"

Ginny loves to learn. She has a hard time with her vision, until she finds out she has a fixable problem.
