After making a diplomatic pact with humankind and the other leaders of the Elder Races, Pia Cuelebre, mate to Dragos Cuelebre, Lord of the Wyr, reluctantly heads to Hollywood to spend a week with the Light Fae Queen, Tatiana, before the busy Masque season hits New York in December.

Dragos has never let the lack of an invitation stop him from doing anything he wanted. Unwilling to let his mate make the trip without him, he travels to southern California in secret to be with her.

But when an ancient enemy launches a shattering assault against the Light Fae, Dragos and Pia must intercede. The destruction threatens to spread and strike a mortal blow against all of the magically gifted, both human and Elder Race alike.

Working with the Light Fae to neutralize the danger, Dragos and Pia find their deepest vulnerabilities challenged and their most closely held secrets threatened with exposure.

PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is the second part of a three-story series about Pia, Dragos, and and their son, Liam. Each story stands alone, but fans might want to read all three: DRAGOS GOES TO WASHINGTON, PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD, and LIAM TAKES MANHATTAN.

Dragos and Pia’s agreement to spend a week with the Light Fae Queen Tatiana as a goodwill gesture for a new spirit of cooperation with humankind and the other Elder Races because of the escalation of violence goes quickly awry. Pia is supposed to attend on her own; however, Dragos refuses to let his newly pregnant wife be that far away without his support. Typical of the Fae as well as the other Elder Races, Tatiana keeps secret her desperate struggle with a magic user sent by her twin sister, Isabeau, Queen of the Light Fae in England, who wants to destroy her. Her people are being turned into something hideous and after Dragos enters the fight, it’s found the contagion can spread to Elder Races and possibly humans. Dragos and Pia, the original main characters in the Elder Races series, are my favorites so I am always glad to be back in their world. Thea Harrison consistently writes a good mix of romance and adventure with strong, witty heroines and arrogant, sensuous alpha males who learn to become partners with their mates realizing that love is not a weakness. Dragos’s snarly personality is particularly fun because his uber strength, magical capabilities, and ancient origin as an apex predator makes him arrogant, aggressive, with a seemingly cold, cruel attitude but because of Pia’s almost polar opposite demeanor, he has learned to be a kindler gentler dragon…sort of. Pia holds her own alongside her fearsome mate, and in this story once again helps to conquer the enemy and protect her husband and the Elder Races. Also in this story, more is revealed about the new little one’s nature. This is the second in the series of this story; the next release, Liam Takes Manhattan, rounds out the story arc.

Pia Cuelebre is wife and mate to Dragos Cuelebre and also expecting their second child. Pia can't fathom how trading family members to different demenses is going to foster better relationships among Wyr's. Nobody said anything about Dragos not going to California while Pia is there. Dragos encounters something he's never seen before in his long life. What is going on? How does it affect Dragos? Can Pia do what she was sent to do? Your answers await you in Pia Does Hollywood. Loving this story arc very much! I can't wait to see what happens next.

Pia has come a long way from her initial introduction. She had to, to be able to stand toe to toe with her dragon mate. If you read the Dragos Goes to Washington, you know that Pia is pregnant again. If you didn't read it, maybe this tasty chunk of knowledge will assist with picking it up. *wink* Of course, Dragos isn't going to let her go to La La Land by herself, especially not in her condition. But he does go in secret, all set to enjoy some prolonged time in his wyr form, while keeping a eye on his mate. Yep, you know those plans aren't going to work out. This book was nice juxtaposition to the first one, and by the time it was over I was salivating for the next one. I gave this book 3 stars.

My favorite Elder Races stories are always the ones with Pia and Dragos. They’ve captured me since the beginning of this series, and I love every time Thea writes about them. I almost wish this series was more like an Urban Fantasy, and she wrote only about them. I do like reading about the love lives of the other characters, but they always seem secondary. Pia and Dragos are the main story of the Elder races, and will always be, at least for me. Though I always buy every Elder Races book; I always look forward to the ones with Pia and Dragos, more than the others. Pia Does Hollywood did not disappoint one bit. There was action, danger, and even romance. I loved it.....Sara

~ 3 Pia Does Hollywood Stars ~ Pia Does Hollywood is novella #8.6 in the Elder Races series by Thea Harrison. An ancient enemy attacks the Light Fae and secrets of the Cuelebre’s maybe exposed. I have come to love Pia, Dragos, and Liam, but these novellas are all starting to feel the same, with the Cuelebre’s being brought into a disaster and then one or the other has to save the other mate. It’s starting to feel the same old same old even the relationship has leveled out. As for Pia and Dragos I was not as in love with them in this novella. They where to obsessed with each other and themselves. I did enjoyed the little bit of mystery and action we got in the plot, but my favorite part are the dreams Pia has of the baby on the way. I just love what he is. As things go Pia Does Hollywood was an ok read and I will always be a fan of this couple, but I think it’s time the author moves on to writing about new or other couples in the Elder Races series. *Disclaimer: I purchased this book for my own consumption. I was not given any type of copy for a review. All thoughts, comments and ratings are my own.

I’m a fan of Pia and Dragos and I love getting to experience their lives after marriage and all the new challenges they face as parents and leaders of the Wyr. This novella didn’t disappoint as Pia travels to Hollywood to fulfill an agreement but Dragos can’t be far from her. As he is shopping for shiny things, he stumbles into a new mystery and puts his life at risk yet again. Will Pia’s blood be able to save him? Who has put forth this new treachery? Once again I found myself entrenched in the Elder Races and loving every minute!

Such fun! A silly little zombie tale with elves. The best part of the books are the sexy times with Pia and Dragos and seeing the Harpy and Quentin. The very best part is the reveal about the new baby but you have to read to find out all those details. Go do that! I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it!

Fun, Action-Packed Dragonlicious Paranormal Romance! "Dragos, I'm beginning to feel like we're travel cursed. Something always happens when we go away." PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD by Thea Harrison is the second novella in a three-story series. First of all, I confess to being a huge fan of the author's Elder Races and Dragos and Pia are my favorite couple in the series; I can't get enough of them. I love these short stories that give fans more insight into the characters and the goings-on within the Elder Races' incredible world. I'm going to disagree with the information within the blurb slightly. If you have not read any of the Elder Races books, I'd recommend that you at least read DRAGON BOUND before diving into these stories. You will enjoy these short tales much more if you have at least read the introduction to the series which featured Dragos and Pia. I can't imagine reading these short stories as standalones and fully enjoying them without some prior knowledge of the couple's history. I'm pretty sure that once you've read DRAGON BOUND, you will be hooked and want to read the entire series. I can attest that every story has been fabulous. I highly recommend that you sit back with The Elder Races series and thoroughly enjoy the author's imaginative, multi-faceted storytelling. As the story opens, Dragos, Pia and, their son, Liam, are enjoying some private Cuelebre family time as they prepare for Pia to be away for a week with Tatiana, the Light Fae Queen, in Los Angeles fulfilling a diplomatic mission. The diplomatic deal stated that each of the seven U.S. demesne leaders are to send a family member to another demesne to visit for a week to foster good will and peace among the desmesnes. The whole concept came from a Medieval practice of nobles sending their children to live in other nobles' households as hostages. While the terms of the deal state that the family member is required to make this trip solo, Dragos is not one to allow what is his far from his grasp, so he will also be in Los Angeles, but he plans to stay hidden. However, trouble is never far from this power couple and the best-laid plans often demand major tweaking. There were so many jaw-dropping twists to this story! Besides the rather epic problem that besets them, there's a plethora of romantic segments that will have the reader swooning. You've been warned: Have a fan and a cold drink nearby when reading this novella. This couple has set-your-sheets-on-fire chemistry galore. I loved the initial short scene with Liam; I wish it had been longer but I'm excited that he gets his own tale with the next book. This story may be short, but it's not undersized as regards its fast-paced action, nor its content as it includes plenty of both. All three parts of this trilogy of novellas should not be missed by the series' fandom as there's considerable information disclosed that will rock the Cuelebres and, indeed, the entire Elder Races world. Anyone who enjoys fun dragonlicious paranormal romance should check out this series! My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there! 4 1/2 Wine Glasses!

4.25 stars--PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is the November 2015 novella in Thea Harrison’s adult, ELDER RACES paranormal, romance series. This is the continuing story of Dragos Cuelebre, Lord of the Wyr, and his mate Pia Cuelebre. PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is the second installment in Thea’s three story novella series focusing on the Cuelebre family-Dragos, Pia and Liam. I would recommend reading this particular novella series in order for cohesion and history, although some background about the original series is beneficial for overall enjoyment. Told from dual third person perspectives (Dragos and Pia) PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD follows Pia as she must endure a week long diplomatic visit with the Queen of the Light Fae, Tatiana. Not wanting to leave his mate vulnerable, Dragos heads to California, to keep an eye out for his beautiful mate. But all does not go according to plan, when Dragos finds himself the victim of an assault and the resulting side affects find our ancient leader losing a little bit of himself to the dark side. What ensues are Pia’s attempts to save her husband, while the Light Fae struggle with the attack against their own kind. PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is an erotic romance storyline that focuses on family, relationships, and the highly, sexual nature of Dragos and Pia’s love. Dragos is the Lord of the Wyr, and with it comes great responsibility but none more so than the protection of his family. The premise is entertaining with a little bit of mystery and suspense; the characters are familiar, colorful and animated; the romance is provocative and steamy. PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD reveals a little bit about the future; what’s in store for the Cuelebre family and the Lord of the Wyr will have any parent cringing in anticipation. Thea Harrison continues to tease our imagination with her amazing series of the ELDER RACES. These quick novella storylines add some color, some background and a glimpse into the lives of the ruling supernatural families.

PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is the second story in a three-part series surrounding one of my favorite families, The Cuelebres. I haven’t read the story before this one but I didn’t feel lost or felt like I missed something because certain events from the previous story were revisited in this part of the storyline. The family can’t travel anywhere without something happening and this trip to California is no different. However, Ms. Harrison kicks the danger level up a notch and the stakes are extremely high for Dragos, Pia and the Light Fae demense. I absolutely LOVED the story! Anything with Dragos, Pia and their son Liam, I’m all over it! I love this family and have been vested in them since DRAGON BOUND. The chemistry between Dragos and Pia is always steamy and their relationship grows deeper with every story told. My favorite part of the entire story were the dreams that Pia had about the future of their family! I laughed, I cried, I cheered! The story is easily read as a standalone and I’d recommend any of the Elder Races books! ***I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

Sneak Peaks into the lives of Pia and Dragos are so much fun in this second of a three part trilogy snuck into the Elder Races series. Dragos and Pia are still hotly in lusty love and though she has to go to Hollywood to spend time with the Light Fae for a week Dragos will be nearby. Something big, bad and ugly is happening and both Dragos and Pia are drawn into trying to find a solution. In spite of the death and destruction going on there are sweet dreams Pia has of the addition to their family, caring moments between Liam and his parents and steamy interactions between Dragos and Pia. I wondered, after meeting Morgan of the Fae if perhaps he might star in a future book and kind of hope so. Loved the foreshadowing and by the end of the book found it the best use in a book in a LONG while! So eager to read what comes next in this series! Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the copy of this story to read and review.
