I have been reading this series since the beginning and I hate to say it but this book has got to be the slowist out of all the books. I don’t know if it’s the 30yr jump they did that changed the dynamics. I under stand it was necessary to set up the next story arch. Maybe the boys are too focused working on the tv show and the writing suffered a little or maybe my taste has changed a little, I don’t know but I found book 7 very hard to get into right from the beginning. It starts out slow and a little boring and never really picks up much speed at all until almost the very end. I have however always and will continue to tell people about this series because it is a great series and anyone how loves hard sci fi/space opera or just sci fi books general can enjoy it. Book 7 however just didn’t do it for me

I like stories with character development. Persepolis Rising carries on the story, gives more insight into how the characters have grown - and introduced some new guys - and kept Avasarala alive and swearing, but still with insight, 30 years later. Also enough action for some of the battle junkies. Waiting for the new one this fall will be painful.

I like Corey's style, not so far out as to be implausible but definitely a few years after tomorrow. Will read the next one.

A fast paced and expansive story that is a worth entry into the saga.

I struggled to finish Babylon's Ashes. This was a great read and hard to put down.

Loved this, and the ending had me begging for more. I'm looking forward to the next novel.

Luckily I made sure I had two days of nothing else to do when I started! As consistently good as the rest of the series. If you are a fan you will not be disappointed.

I had a hard time sticking with this one. The previous books were slow at times, but there were usually characters I wanted to get back to which kept me reading. This whole book was slow, with maybe 10 pages at a time that were interesting. I still like the characters and the series, but this book was my least favorite.
