This is a short story (15,100 words or 55 pages) intended for readers of the Elder Races who enjoy Liam Cuelebre, aka Peanut, as a character.

Dragos Cuelebre is no longer the only dragon.

Dragos’s son Liam Cuelebre (a.k.a. Peanut) is springing into existence, reminiscent of the first of the Elder Races who were born at the beginning of the world. At just six months of age, he has already grown to the size of a large five-year-old boy. He can read, write in complete sentences, and his math skills are off the chart.

A white dragon in his Wyr form, Liam also holds more Power than almost anyone else. In an effort to give him a taste of normality, no matter how fleeting, his parents Pia and Dragos enroll him in first grade.

They hope school will help teach Liam how to relate to others, a vital skill that will help him control his growing Power. But school has a surprising number of pitfalls, and relating to others can be a tricky business.

When a classmate is threatened, Liam must quickly learn self-control, how to rein in his instincts, and govern his temper, because there’s no doubt about it—he is fast becoming one of the most dangerous creatures in all of the Elder Races.

PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL is part of a three-story series about Pia, Dragos, and Peanut. Each story stands alone, but fans might want to read all three: DRAGOS TAKES A HOLIDAY, PIA SAVES THE DAY, and PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL.

Thea Harrison is one of my favorite authors. I loved reading this but it was too short. I truly wish I didn't have to wait for the next book to come out. Please keep the excellent stories of the Elder Races coming.

This book is simply adorable would have given five stars if it was longer. I recommend you read dragon undound and and dragos takes a holiday to get to know the characters. This book is about what every parent goes through wanting to do what's best for their child and hopeing they raised them right. I am in love with Peanut and can hardly wait to read more about his character as he grows up.

Such a lovely gift of a story for fans of the Elder Races Series.  Peanut is growing up fast and going to school.  This is a lovely peek into Pia and Dragos married life told in the charming voice of their son. A must for any lover of this series.

Ok, a story told from the point of view of a dragon child … yes, this was a lot of fun to read. I am really enjoying exploring the dynamic of Pia, Dragos and Peanut as a family and getting inside Peanut's head adds great variety to my reading list. Peanut is growing rapidly so it's time to go to school and he has to learn how to control his powers so that everyone sees him as just a regular kid. Of course, when he sees someone being bullied, well, he has to step in to keep everyone safe. How he does this and the inner monologue is pure fun. I really hope Thea gives us more of these short stories from time to time so we can watch Peanut grow up.

Peanut Goes to School is the 3rd and final book in Thea Harrison’s novella ARC revolving around Dragos, Pia and Liam. If you have not been following Thea’s Elder Races series, or not reading our reviews, they are main characters of this series. Sandy and I are big fans of the Elder Races, so when we can, we try to do dual reviews. I really enjoyed the first two books of this arc, as they were a lot of fun to spend time with Dragos, Pia, and learn more about Liam (Peanut). When we last left off in the last novella, Peanut had grown dramatically. He was now more like 5 years old, though in reality he is only 6 months old. But he is Dragos (dragon) and Pia’s (Unicorn) son, and the magic they have has made young Liam, who is a young dragon, very powerful. Growing too fast, Liam’s parents think going to school is something he needs to do to learn how to deal with people, as well as control his temperament and powers. Anything more will be spoilers, as this is the shortest novella of the three. The description above says it all. I just want to say that I loved reading this short story, loved listening to Peanut’s POV, and loved everything about this wonderful fun relaxing read. I look forward to Liam becoming a major part of the Elder Races future. Most of all, I adore both Dragos and Pia, and can never have enough of them. Thank you, Thea for these fun books to read.

I don't know how Thea Harrison is going to top this book. A novella that left me wanting more, Peanut Goes to School was utterly enchanting.  Liam (Peanut) has been growing and maturing at an exponential rate. In the past 6 months, he's progressed to the size of a first grader and has a genius intelligence. Worried for his social development Dragos and Pia send Liam to school. Liam is faced with extremely difficult social situations. We get to watch his the story unfold from mostly his perspective. Absolutely delightful, amazingly endearing and totally entertaining, I loved Peanut Goes to School.

AN ENCHANTING DOSE OF WARM FUZZIES ... PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL by Thea Harrison is the third in a series of paranormal novellas featuring Dragos, Pia and Liam, aka Peanut. I fell in love with Thea's Elder Races series from the very first book, DRAGON BOUND, and every book following has been an exciting treat. This novella, officially # 6.7 in the line-up, is another marvelous addition. I can't get enough of Dragos' family! They're my favorites! This tale has just a tad of romance, but it still has plenty of sweet courtesy of Peanut. Peanut is growing in huge bursts thanks to his dragon half. I hate that his folks are missing many of the familiar childhood milestones, but Peanut is writing his own life story his way. My full review has been posted to Reading Between the Wines Book Club.

Wasn't quite sure if I'd like this story. But I love Pia and Dragos so I have it a try. So glad I did. I loved this story. I loved getting inside Liam's mind. How fast he's growing. I love how Thea Harrison keeps on touch with this little family. This story made me smile, tear up & laugh out loud.

Liam is tested in this new environment. Will Liam learn balance? Your answers await you in Peanut Goes to School.

PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL is the third instalment in Thea Harrison’s Elder Races paranormal novella trilogy focusing Dragos, Pia and Liam Cuelebre. As the child of the only living dragon  Liam is gifted with power beyond anyone’s imagination, and to combine them with his mother’s supernatural abilities and you have the makings for a very interesting childhood.   The story focuses on six month old Liam Cuelebre whose growth and maturity are years ahead. Hoping to socialize their little ‘peanut’ with other children, Pia and Dragos send Liam off to school hoping that their tiny dragon reigns in his powers if something should go wrong-and go wrong they do. PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL is a sweet storyline told in close third person POV (Liam) that follows Liam’s first day in grade one. From school yard bullies to a terrifying teacher, Liam encounters his first taste of predator and prey-and no dragon will ever be considered –the prey. Although the storyline is part of the Elder Races series, the novella reds more like a middle grade story because it is written from a child’s perspective. Thea Harrison novella trilogy follows one supernatural family –from the birth of their first child to the first day of school. Every parent worries about the future-the what ifs and whys-but most never have to worry about their six month old child shifting into a white dragon that breathes fire and fear into a classroom of first grade students. We get an up close and personal look at one father and son relationship that can be measured by the love and emotional bonding; and a mother whose natural instinct to protect overrides all sense of well-being.

~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog What a cute and light-hearted story. Thea Harrison gives her readers more of the Cuelebre family story, but this time she gives us a glimpse through Liam’s eyes.  Liam is Dragos and Pia’s first born. Being that he is a special breed, not even his parents know what he is capable of. Though mature for his age, he still needs to learn playground rules, friendships, loyalties, and most of all; he will need to learn how to control his powers and temper. Liam A.K.A Peanut is just adorable. He is smart, cunning, ruthless, compassionate, and a romantic….very much like his dad. I loved getting to know him.  I enjoyed seeing Dragos and Pia through their son’s eyes. What they were going through and yet, their bond continues to stay strong. They have certainly made a mark in their son’s eyes. At a very young age, you know Liam will be just like his parents and with their DNA’s possibly even stronger. I wonder if Ms. Harrison have any plans to make a spin-off of Liam’s story. After reading this novella, i would love to read more.  There are no steamy scenes, obviously. I was, of course, hoping there would be, but being that it’s Liam’s POV, it’s probably for the best. Pia and Dragos are still working out their issues. Dragos’ memory is not fully back and Pia is struggling with a few changes but overall, they are staying very strong. With troubles going on at home, I can’t help wonder what is brewing else were in the Elder Races. I’m thinking, I should brace myself for what is to come next. This book was, of course, too short, but it managed to grab me and made a mark in my reading experience. I think this is the first book I read that is in a child’s POV. It’s different, but I enjoyed it. *ARC provided by publisher
