This is a book your students will really enjoy. Elizabeth was a Princess who was in love with a Prince named Ronald. Ronald was captured by a dragon and through her cleverness, Elizabeth saved him. The ending is a funny surprise. The book is a good source when teaching character traits. Gary Dominicus

I love this book! It tells of a princess who does things in a bit of an unconventional way; it is the princess who goes to rescue the prince. I like this book because it shows that things don't always have to be done how they have always been done. The princess doesn't always have to be the pretty girl in a dress, she can be a heroine as well!

Bought this for my 4 yr old daughter and it is one of our favorites. Also gave it as a gift to one of her friends. Nice to balance all the Disney princess stuff that is advertised everywhere and sends the wrong message to our little girls. Who needs men who judge us only for our looks?!

My daughter has loved this book since she was 4- she is now 6 and still enjoys it.So nice to read a princess book in which the princess is a smart cookie and has a good dose of self-esteem.Prince Ronald turns out to be a jerk, and Princess Elizabeth puts him in his place! Add a clueless fire-breathing dragon, and you've got a fun, humorous read!

When I was little, I would have my mom read this to me every night, British accents and all. I got so familiar with it that I knew all the words by heart. One day I decided to read it by myself. It wasn¿t until halfway through the book that my mom noticed that I had not once turned the pages while I was reading, haha. It¿s a great book and I recommend it to any girl who wants to be a princess when she grows up, `cause that¿s how it¿s done.

This story is great to combat the typical 'oh save me prince charming' syndrome that the classics perpetrate. A previous review mentioned that it was disappointing that the prince rejected the princess due to her appearance. It neglected to mention that the princess saved the prince! She then made her own decision against marrying him! Bravo! I am buying this for my friends and their daughters.

This book gives a twist on all other fairytale happy endings! Give your students a good laugh and different perspective with this one. This is a book that everyone will enjoy, adults included. It is a classroom must read.

Personal Favorite I have gotten this book for several friends' children and for a few of my friends who are teachers. I love the message and the brave girl who is so clever then chooses her own destiny. I have always told my daughter, who is now 30, that she always has a choice in her life and it has served her well!

The Paper Bag Princess is simply a Classic! I 1st purchased this for my grand daughter when she was 3 1/2 and she loved it! The story line is easy to follow and the drawings are wonderful! The idea that the Princess, no longer looking like Royalty after the (cute) dragon burned down her castle, is more concerned about rescuing the Prince and angry enough at the dragon do face him and develop a plot to rescue the Prince. The ending is... laughable! I recently purchased this book for my Nook for my now 7 yr old grand daughter and she was better able to appreciate the humor and loved it just as much.

Great story for young girls who think they want to be a princess when they grow up, and believe that they will meet their Prince Charming. It will open their eyes to the reality of life - that you cannot judge a person by their looks or occupations (or royalty status!).

The princess defeats the dragon and rescues the prince! What a refreshing change.

It's a reverse fairy tale. It shows the power of a princess. Every boy (and girl) should read this book! It's short and only takes about 5 minutes (for an adult) and 10 minutes (for beginning readers) to read through this!

This book was read to me ask a little girl and quickly became one of my favorites. It has also turned in to something of a family tradition. I have already purchased the same book for both of my nieces.

This delightful book tells the story of a princess who is in love with a prince and who ends up rescuing the snobbish fop from a dragon, only to be totally unappreciated. Her resolve and her sense of herself. not to mention her quick thinking save the day! This book helps little girls to realize that a titled prince is not always a "real" prince and that they have the power to fight dragons and succeed! Told in a truly charming, funny and clever way, the book is a classic by the great children's author Robert Munsch. It is well worth the purchase price and a must for teachers teaching fairytales and parents of little girls.

This is not about your disney princesses- this book will empower your daughters to believe that they don't need someone to save them, they are clever enough to save themselves. It is a wonderful story for the early years and reading aloud, and finally for young readers who are reading on their own.

I love this twist on the typical princess story. I want my daughter to know that she can do the saving if needed, brains work better than brawn and she should walk away if someone treats her poorly.

I first bought this book for my daughter sortly after publication. We both loved it and read it over and over. She is now 25 years old and still loves the story. I recently purchased it for my granddaughter to continue the tradition of telling stories about strong, funny, beautiful young women.

The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch is an interesting story about a princess. My daughter does not like it as much as the other Robert Munsch books but she still enjoys reading it.

I love The Paper Bag Princess and Princess Bubble. They teach our girls values of true princesses.

Good book. I'm sick of reading about whimpy princesses that stay locked up all day. That's why I like Elizabeth...She's nothing like that!
