Just bought one and it performs extremely well! Here is some information I was able to find out about it: MANUFACTURER southerntelecom BRAND Nook MODEL BNTV650 PLATFORM mt8167 API 8.1 (27) WIFI CONSYS_MT6630 CPU MT8167A CORES 4 FAMILY Cortex-A35 CLOCK_SPEED 598 - 1500 MHz RAM 2 GB

Chat confirmed ram is 2gb and android os version is 8.1; she stated they will find the cpu model number and add it to the specs section within 1 week.

Just got mine 2 days ago. Very easy to set up. Nice and very light. Large HD screen is great for videos, TV and Netflix. Has more storage than the more expensive Samsung's for the price. All features work great, Bluetooth, USB File Transfer. I was skeptical at first since I prefer the Samsung brand but I am very impressed. I added 128GB SD card and should never run out of memory. Operationally it works fast and it is easy to access everything. I have not run into any problems or issues with it and would recommend it to anyone of my friends.

I picked up the NOOK 10 30 minutes after my local Barnes & Noble opened on November 13th and I have used extensively since then. The price point and capabilities of this tablet make it a phenomenal deal. if you are buying this as an e-reader for your Nook, Kindle, and other ebook and comic/manga titles, you will NOT be disappointed. I do not want to break the rules, as they disallow the posting of URLs, but I have written an extensive 2000+ word review on screen dandy dot com, and I think anyone sitting on the fence would find the information useful, especially for those debating picking up the NOOK 10's rival, the Fire HD 10.

I need help. Just purchases 11/19/18- guy at store just put it in a bag after I checked out- now Im having issues getting this registered and started. I got as far as creating a secure pin. I decided to wait until next day to complete registration and of course since I set up a security pin I have to enter that before I do anything. And of course its telling the wrong pin was entered when it was not. I need to start from scratch again but nothing is helping or working. I still have my older nook- the 9.1- and I have not transferred anything to the new one yet, obviously. I just upgraded because the screen is bigger and you can add a keyboard. Plus my 9.1 has a small hairline crack in it at the top. Any help out there to re-start this process?

This is an excellent 10.1" tablet for my everyday computer needs. The hardware build quality is very good, and the screen viewing area is exceptionally bright and clear. The MediaTek chip that runs the tablet is reasonably quick - and since it is ARM, it is built to save power...and reduce heat. I also bought the keyboard case, which is well worth the extra money. It allows me to easily create documents - and answer numerous emails using a well designed keyboard. In addition, I also like that fact that the tablet readily connects to the entire Barnes and Noble system. All in all, Barnes and Noble created a great tablet for $129.99. I highly recommend it!!

How is this device better than the Tab S2 that I currently have?

Is the 10.1 nook tablet heavy or at least heavier than the 9.6? i have a 9.6 and my hand cramps up if I hold it for too long. I wanted to comment on the person who wanted to return his 10.1, but this forum wouldn't let me in an ordinary way, so I will do it this way. Bruce sorry that you are having trouble with the 10.1 nook. I had a lot fo trouble when i first got my tablet two years ago and am glad I did. Be asssertive with the people in the store and keep on contacting them till they get it right. They will help you configure and sign in to the device at the service desk in the store. It just takes a lot of patience and time if you have it. I am happy with my Tab e 9. 6 Samsung nook and hope you will be happpy with yours as well. Don't give up on it. They stand behind their units and will fix it for you or reimburse you, or at least they should.

gch, just know that even though its running a newer OS then the tablet 7" is, i was disappointed with that. Slow and laggy on apps. Wifi took up to a few minutes to connect after the home screen came on after powering up. I've had alot of people complain about the cheapness feel of the tablet. I purchase the samsung tab a and i love it! I know its a bit older android OS, but was on sale for 99.00 down from 129.00. I hope you dont have issues with the 10.1. I was told that Samsung had better service, but not sure how true that is. This to me is the better of the tablets since the original hd and hd+ came out. The 10.1 to me doesnt feel as solid built as the galaxy tabs.

DO NOT BUY THIS TABLET UNLESS YOU HAVE $140+ YOU DON'T MIND THROWING IN THE TRASH CAN!!! First, let me start by saying I did not purchase the $21.99 two year protection plan, have never purchased it on any tablet, have never needed it. I received it on Sunday afternoon by mail. On Monday evening it was dropped on carpet and the screen shattered. Even though website says you can add protection plan up to 14 days after receipt I made mistake of being honest and was told I would not be allowed to add plan since my tablet is already damaged. I have purchased many Nooks over the years and never has one shattered like this one did. I bought the Sansung Nook years ago and it is much less fragile than Nook 10.1. It is cheaply made and has nothing on Amazon's products who has better customer service reps and supervisors who are very interested in satisfied customers. I did not feel BN cared at all. Since I can read Nook books on other tablets I would not recommend this BN Nook 10.1 tablet or BN Customer Servic or their supervisors. A very disappointing experience that I will not ever repeat again. I plan to start ordering my books through Amazon. I have never encountered any situation Amazon has not provided a positive outcome. There is way too much competition in the tablet market for such a poorly handled transaction. Such a little bit of money to lose a customer over.

Did not want to mess up the reviews so gave it 5 stars even though I have not bought one. I have the Nook/Samsung. I like it because I can order books other than from Barnes and Noble who do not carry some of the books I want. I go to Amazon to get the "Kindle" books. Does this new device enable me to get books other than from Barnes and Noble (the books from Amazon)? Thanks

Amazingly disappointing. The tablet feels very cheaply made, as if it were going to break at any moment. Doesn't want to stay docked with the keyboard case. Setup is a royal pain. I haven't even had it an hour and I'm so frustrated I'm doing a factory reset, packing it back in its original box, and taking it back to my local Barnes & Noble this afternoon. Poor quality product like this is why Barnes & Noble is on the brink of going out of business. Much as I dislike the Amazon behemoth, they may be the only choice.
