I just got both of Ms. Galvin's titles ('Play and Pray' and 'Lent and Easter') - and I couldn't be happier. Having taught CCD classes to second graders for four years, these books are just what I've needed to help keep a roomful of happy, but squirming, seven year olds on task. The textbooks supplied in most religious education programs are informative, but many of the activities can seem rather dull to the kids. With enough different activities to appeal to everyone's interests, these two books will help me expand on textbook lessons and keep my students happy, too!

If you're looking for something different to do with your kids at Easter, this is the book to get. Go beyond the chocolate eggs and stuffed bunnies -- Ms. Galvin's book has lots of great lessons and fun drawings that really capture the essence of the season yet make it fun for kids. She has a whimsical, earthy style to her book that speaks to a child's level yet is approachable for all ages. My kids really enjoyed it!

I just received my copy, and my kids love it! (They are ages 8 and 6, though I think kids a little younger and a bit older would still get a lot out of this book.) The activities are so varied, it's not like some activity books that are the same two or three kinds of activities repeated over and over. And the illustrations are just ADORABLE. I love these books & I hope they come out with more! I'd love to see a Christmas one!
