Overview

"MY BROTHER'S KEEPER" continues the exciting Christian Fantasy, "The Dragon's Back" Trilogy, begun in "THE POISON OF THORNS". Here are bards, dragons, swords, dark villains, and ADVENTURE! Living on a land shaped like a monstrous Dragon floating on a bottomless Sea, two brothers have chosen dramatically different paths to deal with the pain caused by watching the murder of their parents. Kaleb, the eldest, has taken up thorns and sided with the black-robed Dragonmen and their gigantic Captain, Raven. Overcome by bitterness, he has vowed to exact vengeance and rescue his bother from the man he thinks is responsible for that crime, Nathan the Master Bard. Jason, the younger sibling, is an apprentice to that same bard and has chosen to forsake the dark poison of the thorns and follow the teachings of the Great Gryphon and His Swimmer Son. Out of their love for each other, both brothers seek with their entire beings to deliver their sibling from his chosen path. A violent conflagration of armed conflict is inevitable!

What other authors are saying about "THE POISON OF THORNS, The Dragon's Back #1"

Tracy Krauss, bestselling author of "Play It Again" and "The Beat Goes On" says: "Book 1 of The Dragon's Back Series reads somewhat like a Lewis, Tolkien or even a Rowling. Full of heraldry and lore in a make believe otherworld, this novel is full of action and adventure sure to please anyone who enjoys a good fantasy story. ...Anyone who likes fantasy with an unapologetic Christian worldview should enjoy it."

Ashley Wintters ["Ashley Dawn"], author of "Shadows from the Past" and "Shadows of Suspicion" says: "Wonderfully Written! This was a superbly written book. A good vs. evil that isn't too preachy but definitely has a spiritual overtone. The imagery the author used made you actually feel like you were a part of the book. The characters were very well developed and very likeable. I rate it a 5/5. If you get the chance, you should definitely read it and I'm ready for the second one!"

About the Author

Robert Dennis (Bob) Wilson resides in Sacramento, CA with his wife, Joyce, and 2 very energetic, dapple long-haired dachshunds. They have 4 married children and 5 grandsons, scattered from coast to coast. Besides writing novels, Bob is a singer-songwriter and a scroll saw artist. He works full time telecommuting from home as a programmer/Report Designer for an international transportation corporation.

Before meeting the love of his life, Bob actually received a BABE degree in college: that is, a "Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education" from Washington Bible College, Lanham, MD. He has worked in various support roles for churches, missions, and para-church organizations. Bob continues to have an active role in multiple local churches.

The first volume in this trilogy, "THE POISON OF THORNS: The Dragon's Back #1" is in also available as either paperback or e-book. The author highly recommends that book #1 be read prior to this volume.

Bob is also working on a four volume Science Fiction "Earth - The Arena" series. The first book, "THE PLAYERS: Earth - the Arena # 1," has inter-dimensional visitors, psychic experimentation, the threat of inter-dimensional warfare, disappearing people, lots of action, and enough romance to keep it interesting.
Science Opened a Doorway - Something Came Through!
"The Players" is available in both e-book and paperback formats.

MY BROTHER'S KEEPER:The Dragon's Back #2 5 out of 5 based on 0 ratings. 3 reviews.

'My Brother's Keeper' continues the saga of two brothers, Kaleb and Jason, in the mythical world of Dragonsback. I actually enjoyed this book even more than book one, 'The Poison of Thorns', perhaps because by this time I am comfortable with the writer's rather flowery methaphoric style. In fact, rather than slow the story down, I now see how this style of writing adds depth to a story that takes place in a land where heraldry and tradition rule. The two brothers have chosen very divergent paths and both feel they are correct in their choices and will stop at nothing to 'save' the other from what they see as heresy. Both books are beautifully written and very well plotted with elaborate backstories and a glossary of terms. This is high adventure for the fantasy buff, Christian or not. The Christian theme is prevalent, make no mistake, but is skillfully veiled for the most part in the allegorical elements of the story, and should not deter anyone from reading it. It is similar to C.S. Lewis and his tales of Narnia in this regard, making the Dragonsback Series a great read for fantasy lovers also looking for a morally sound story.
