Another good story

143 pages, a sequel to Midnight Secrets. Because it is short, I think the story would be a bit flat if you haven't read the series. This is very similar to the other novels. Jacko is a strong hero and Lauren brings love and softness to his life. Of course, there is a bit of danger thrown in. I enjoyed finding out more about Jacko. I just wish it was a full length story.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was intrigued by Jacko (Morton Jackman) in Midnight Angel, and absolutely fell in love with him in Midnight Vengeance. Therefore, it is quite understandable that I was over the moon when I found out this book was a continuation of Jacko's and Lauren's story. An unexpected announcement from Lauren sends Jacko on a journey into his past to discover a family he never knew about. Unfortunately, his search for answers brings danger to his door and puts Lauren squarely in its crosshairs. Fast paced and suspenseful, this book refused to be put down. Lisa Marie Rice always leaves me impatient for the next book.
