This is one of the books that I read in the class because another student brought it. The book has great illustrations and tells the story of Michelle Obama. I can see it being a good mentor text when teaching the genre of biography.
Mrs. Obama has such a strong and influencial voice in the country right now. And this book is great for little girls everywhere who are destined for wonderful things. There should be more youth stories highlighting women who have relied so stongly on education for their success, as our first lady has.
